Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ten years of maintenance experience in the water and wastewater industry, including five years in a supervisory or maintenance management role, is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of unit processes applicable to water and wastewater treatment facilities is required.
  • Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, blowers, compressors, and supervisory control and data acquisition systems is required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals is required.
  • Ability to prepare as-built red-line drawings is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems are required.
  • Proficiency in general computer applications, data entry and management systems, and computerized maintenance management systems is required.
  • Ability to obtain certifications as required is required.
  • Confined Space Entry Certification and Lockout/Tagout training are required.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage daily maintenance activities for the project site to maintain operational standards.
  • Oversee corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Lead supervisors, technicians, and contractors to ensure efficient plant performance, reduce downtime, and improve equipment longevity.
  • Deliver planned system overhauls, renewals, replacements, and on-demand corrective repair services accurately, timely, and cost-effectively.
  • Assign personnel to shifts and plan daily schedules for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.
  • Prepare work orders, reports, procurement requisitions, charts, graphs, and data submissions manually or through a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ensure maintenance, quality assurance, and facility-wide recordkeeping procedures are consistently followed.
  • Plan jobs, estimate labor and material needs, report performance against estimates, and maintain records of maintenance execution, equipment histories, parts usage, and logistics.
  • Maintain organized parts and equipment inventory and storage.
  • Schedule and allocate labor to complete work efficiently and on time.
  • Document and track work tasks and communicate significant variances.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for routine and non-routine maintenance tasks and upload them to the VAMS maintenance system.
  • Manage maintenance work costs and communicate budget information.
  • Provide original equipment manufacturer and equipment training as needed.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance shutdowns and downtime with department management and production operations.
  • Track asset availability, uptime, downtime, and downtime causes.
  • Perform equipment failure analysis and lead root-cause analyses as needed.
  • Participate in weekly operations and management meetings.
  • Manage safety and environmental issues and ensure compliance with federal and state standards, hazardous waste disposal requirements, air quality standards, and site requirements.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for equipment, power, and flood-control events and execute or supervise them when necessary.
  • Support site leadership in managing team performance, identifying improvement areas, and providing coaching.
  • Serve as a point of contact for 24-hour emergency on-call coverage when required.
  • Lead, train, schedule, and manage maintenance technicians and field staff.
  • Manage staff performance and enforce safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
  • Implement and enforce maintenance-level safety protocols and best practices.
  • Lead safety training and awareness programs and conduct maintenance-task risk assessments.
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures for hazardous energy control.
  • Maintain records of equipment inspections, maintenance logs, and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate responses to equipment failures, breakdowns, and emergency maintenance issues.
  • Maintain supervisory control and data acquisition systems, control panels, and instrumentation used in water and wastewater treatment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with site-level customers and vendors and manage contractors for specialized repairs or equipment servicing.
  • Implement maintenance efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage overtime and other spending areas to remain within budget.
  • Create and manage inventories of parts, tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies and ensure timely procurement of replacements.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Preferred knowledge of electrical systems relevant to water and wastewater facilities, mechanical systems used in treatment plants, and instrumentation and control systems for process monitoring and automation.
  • Knowledge of the supervisory control and data acquisition system is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Google software platform is desirable.
  • Familiarity with water quality testing and analysis techniques is desirable.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements is desirable.
  • Complex troubleshooting skills for equipment and processes are desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is desirable.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure emergency response situations is desirable.

Veolia raises $1.3B in oversubscribed senior bond offering with $3.8B orders

Veolia has completed a €1.15 billion senior bond offering across two tranches. The issuance comprises €650 million with a four-year maturity at a 3.678% coupon and €500 million with an eight-year maturity at a 4.088% coupon. The transaction attracted over 250 orders totalling €3.4 billion. Veolia posts 10.4% net income growth in H1 2026, raises full-year guidance to 8%

Veolia Environnement reported revenue of €22.93 billion for the first half of 2026, up 1.5% at constant scope and foreign exchange, excluding energy prices. The company's EBITDA reached €3.55 billion, rising 5% with margins improving by 70 basis points to 16%. Current net income grew 10.4% at constant scope and forex, whilst net free cash flow improved by €164 million compared to the same period in 2025. The company achieved €195 million in efficiency gains during the period. Veolia completed its acquisition of Cleaners in the United States, which contributed to net financial debt of €24.5 billion. The company raised its full-year 2026 current net income growth guidance to at least 8%, citing strong operational performance and well-controlled financial charges. Revenue growth in water technology faced temporary delays in the Middle East due to geopolitical tensions.

Veolia launches $452M non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due 2032

Veolia Environnement has launched a €400 million offering of non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due January 2032. The bonds will be offered exclusively to qualified institutional investors through an accelerated bookbuilding process. The synthetic convertible bonds offer exposure to Veolia's share performance but will be cash-settled only, without issuing new shares. The bonds will bear an annual interest rate between 0.50% and 0.75%, with a conversion premium of 20% over a reference share price. Concurrently, Veolia will purchase cash-settled call options to hedge its exposure. The company intends to use proceeds for general corporate purposes, including purchasing the options. BNP Paribas and Natixis serve as joint global coordinators, with BofA Securities, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley as joint bookrunners. Veolia plans to list the bonds on Euronext Access within 30 days.

Veolia raises $791M through convertible bond offering to refinance 2021 debt

Enviri spins off New Enviri as standalone public company with $1.2B revenue after Clean Earth sale

New Enviri has launched as a standalone public company following the completion of Clean Earth's sale to Veolia Environnement.
