Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Zero to two years of modality-specific work experience, including at least one year of X-ray experience.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography (R) is required.
  • ARRT computed tomography registration must be obtained within one year in the position.
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification is required, either from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers or an American Heart Association-recognized equivalent, or from the American Red Cross as CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • Participation in the on-call rotation approximately once every three months is required.
  • Ability to perform the specified standing, sitting, walking, climbing, indoor, elevated-area, confined-space, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, grasping, fine-manipulation, reaching, repetitive-motion, lifting, force-exertion, vision, depth-perception, peripheral-vision, hearing, sensory, stress-management, rotating-shift, overtime, latex-safe-environment, and respirator-use functions described in the physical requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize all computed tomography imaging resources to perform high-quality computed tomography examinations.
  • Provide computed tomography imaging services for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient imaging for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain image quality standards and follow established computed tomography protocols.
  • Deliver compassionate patient care while ensuring patient safety during examinations.
  • Operate computed tomography equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
