About the company

Mack Industries makes concrete products for contractors building roads, utilities, homes and commercial properties. Its range runs from factory-cast drainage structures and electrical vaults to building panels and wastewater treatment systems, with ready-mix concrete supplied through Mack Concrete. The group combines product design and manufacturing with delivery, installation and follow-up service, so customers buy finished components and support for construction projects rather than only raw material. It also builds concrete tanks and pump stations for treating and moving wastewater at commercial and municipal sites. Founded in 1932 in Valley City, Ohio, Mack Industries is headquartered in Brunswick, Ohio.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Mack expanded Ohio coverage: its May 2026 announcement reported acquiring Norton concrete producer Ace Redimix.
  • Mack's full-time mixer drivers in Lorain get local routes and home-daily schedules, starting at $25-$33 hourly, experience-dependent.
  • Mack earns repeat service work: its wastewater contracts cover treatment plants and lift stations, including inspections and reports.

What critics are saying

  • Mack's Lorain ready-mix drivers must accommodate last-minute changes to schedules, work locations and shift times.
  • Mack's White Lake yard operators work outdoors year-round around concrete dust, noise and heavy machinery.
  • Mack wastewater engineering faces compliance constraints: systems must meet permit limits for nitrogen, phosphorus and other discharges.

What makes Mack Industries unique

  • Mack controls structural production: its hollowcore concrete panels form on a 500-foot casting bed with tensioned steel strands.
  • Mack builds fire resistance into standard hollowcore panels: each carries a two-hour Underwriters Laboratories rating.
  • Mack retains family continuity: three generations of the Mack family have directed the group.
