- The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- The candidate must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree as preferred qualification.
- Additional Life Support credentials such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units, are preferred.
- Visual color acuity may be required depending on the role in specific units.
- Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines and within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
- Manage patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with the hospital's philosophy and policies.
- Practice nursing through collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.
