Requirements
  • Ability to initiate, develop and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical reports or journals
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external clients
  • Ability to write scopes-of-work, budget estimates, schedules, reports of findings, proposals, general correspondence, and other technical documents

  • Employees must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting site inspections, speaking and interacting with clients, preparing written reports of findings

  • Must be able to understand and communicate in both the written and spoken words of both Spanish & English in the specialized field of Transportation Engineering and shall have the specialized knowledge and experience described below

  • U.S. Citizenship Required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
Responsibilities
  • Analyze survey data to assess the impact of driver attitudes and behaviors on impaired driving laws and policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policy recommendations based on research findings
  • Conduct thorough reviews of data, identifying trends, patterns, and potential policy implications
  • Prepare reports and presentations that effectively communicate policy insights to stakeholders
  • Engage with external partners and regulatory bodies to advocate for evidence-based policy changes
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in policy analysis
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and assess complex data sets
  • Proficiency in policy analysis methodologies, with a solid understanding of regulatory and legislative processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate policy insights to diverse audiences
  • Previous experience in policy analysis, preferably in the transportation or public health sectors
  • Knowledge of impaired driving laws and regulations is a plus
  • A commitment to upholding ethical standards in policy analysis and decision-making
