Radar Software Engineer/Analyst
About the job
- An ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree is required.
- At least 5 years of task-related experience is required.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and programming-language concepts is required.
- Familiarity with algorithm development is required.
- Expertise with the Linux operating system is required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance is required.
- Some travel is required.
- Identify and assess high-priority findings from static and dynamic software scans.
- Perform cybersecurity software testing, security scans, and vulnerability scans of tactical radar software source files to identify run-time, logic, and other software errors and vulnerabilities.
- Review, provide feedback on, and facilitate delivery of a Joint Federated Assurance Center-produced security posture report detailing software-scan results and recommended software changes to the customer.
- Coordinate with Joint Federated Assurance Center personnel to distinguish true findings from false-positive findings.
- Provide expertise and support in radar algorithm development, object-oriented programming concepts, code peer reviews, debugging, code maintenance, large-code applications, and object-oriented design, analysis, requirements, and coding.
- Work independently and in multidisciplinary team environments.
- A master's degree in a related technical field is preferred.
- Expertise with static and dynamic software code-scanning and analysis concepts is preferred.
- Experience with AN/TPY-2, SBX, or LRDR missile-defense radar systems is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of C, C++, Ada, Perl, HTML, and/or Python is preferred.
