Assistant Team Leader
About the job
- A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field is required.
- A master's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field, or licensure/registration as a registered nurse, is required as specified in the education and experience qualifications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Ability to research material via the internet is required.
- Support the Team Leader in providing leadership and directing the activities of a mobile multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Support the Team Leader in directing and supervising staff activities.
- Enforce timely and effective communication.
- Lead team organizational and service planning meetings in the absence of the Team Leader.
- Provide direction to staff regarding individual cases.
- Conduct side-by-side contacts with staff.
- Conduct individual supervision meetings with the Team Leader.
- Be available by cell phone for emergency consultation and crisis intervention.
- Direct participant services as a member of the clinical staff for 50% of working time.
- Perform administrative and supervisory duties for 50% of working time.
- Ensure that team members cross-train one another so each member can engage participants regarding the team's full range of roles and functions.
- Ensure staff share responsibilities for recipients and charting.
- Support staff in all areas of writing service plans.
- Actively participate in revising service plans as participant needs change.
- Ensure advocacy for participant rights and preferences.
- Take responsibility for recipients of ACT services and for charting services.
- Advocate for participant rights and preferences whenever possible.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor or division head.
- Professional experience working in a multidisciplinary mobile team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish language ability.
- Licensure or registration as a registered nurse.
