About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in PCB/PCBA design, with ownership of complete design cycles from schematic to production release.
  • Expert command of Altium Designer for schematic capture, layout, design rule checks/electrical rule checks, and output generation, or comparable computer-aided design tools.
  • Strong experience designing mixed-signal boards involving power electronics such as switched-mode power supplies, low-dropout regulators, battery management, and motor drives; high-speed digital circuits such as DDR, SerDes, and high-frequency clocks; and sensitive analog/sensor front-ends.
  • A solid understanding of electromagnetic compatibility design principles, including grounding strategies, shielding, filtering, return path management, and pre-compliance testing methodology.
  • Hands-on design for manufacturing and design for assembly knowledge, including panelization, via-in-pad, press-fit, selective soldering, surface-mount/through-hole mixed assembly, and IPC Class 2/3 requirements.
  • Practical laboratory skills with high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and board rework.
  • Experience coordinating with PCB fabricators and electronic manufacturing services/contract manufacturing partners, including writing fabrication specifications, managing first article inspections, and resolving design-for-manufacturing feedback.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, including microcontroller/system-on-chip integration, boot circuits, JTAG/SWD debug interfaces, and collaboration with firmware engineers.
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Capture complex multi-sheet schematics in Altium Designer, including power stages, microcontroller and system-on-chip support circuits, sensor interfaces, motor-drive gate stages, and communication buses such as CAN-FD, EtherCAT, SPI, I²C, and USB.
  • Design 4–16 layer boards, attending to signal and power integrity, EMC-compliant routing, thermal management, mixed-signal partitioning, impedance-controlled routing, and high-current copper pours.
  • Run design rule and electrical rule checks, perform pre-layout and post-layout signal-integrity and power-integrity simulations, and conduct formal design reviews with firmware and systems engineering teams.
  • Prepare and own manufacturing documentation, including Gerber/ODB++ files, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and IPC-compliant fabrication notes; work with PCB fabricators and PCBA contract manufacturers to qualify and release designs for series production.
  • Lead board bring-up in the laboratory using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers; diagnose and resolve hardware issues from power rails to high-speed digital signals.
  • Select, specify, and qualify components; manage end-of-life, long-lead-time, and second-source risks; maintain the approved vendor list for electronic components with procurement.
  • Drive design iterations through design verification test and production validation test stages; support PCBA test development, including in-circuit testing and functional test fixtures; work with quality engineering on failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain revision-controlled design data in the product data/product lifecycle management environment and ensure compliance with standards and directives including IPC-2221, IPC-7711, CE/EMC, and RoHS/REACH.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with simulation tools.
  • Good German for daily collaboration.

About the Company

Neura Robotics

Cognitive robots with perception, manipulation, collaboration

Neura Robotics builds cognitive robots for industrial and service settings, combining perception, manipulation, and human collaboration. It develops both the hardware and the software stack for Physical AI, creating robot platforms like MAiRA, MAV, LARA and MiPA along with training infrastructure. The system works by integrating sensing, decision-making, and manipulation capabilities on a hardware-software stack that can be deployed in large-scale production, with the company planning robots fleets and NEURA Gyms for ongoing training and improvement. What sets Neura Robotics apart is its end-to-end approach to Physical AI, including a focus on mass production, an established global deployment plan, and a broad ecosystem of strategic backers and partners that support scaling and international expansion. The goal is to enable worldwide deployment of its robot platforms and associated training infrastructure, turning physical AI into widely available industrial and service automation.
