About the job
- A minimum of 2 years of Critical Care experience is required.
- A Registered Nurse license is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- NIH Stroke Certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required upon completion of department orientation.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required, or an RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program plus a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Active pursuit of a Master's degree in Nursing is required if the candidate does not already possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Assist the Nurse Manager with assessment, skill proficiency evaluation, equipment and supply management, patient satisfaction initiatives, staffing, and scheduling.
- Support the Nurse Manager in overseeing the unit.
- Assist with personnel processes, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Participate in developing and implementing performance improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Communicate information effectively to staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Assist the Nurse Manager with timely decisions and change management processes.
- Collaborate with all departments as part of the management team.
- Use a personal cell phone for business purposes.
- Magnet Recognition is preferred.
