About the job
- Previous experience in customer service, internal sales, retail, trade counter, warehousing, or storeperson work may be applicable.
- A current driver's licence and clean driving record are required.
- The candidate must be physically capable of undertaking general warehouse duties.
- The candidate must follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Provide customer service to electrical trades and commercial customers.
- Assist customers in the showroom, over the phone, and via email.
- Respond to customer enquiries, prepare quotes, and process sales orders.
- Build customer relationships and identify opportunities to recommend suitable products and solutions.
- Support the sales team with product availability, pricing, order updates, and follow-up.
- Process and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receive, check, and book in incoming stock and purchase orders.
- Pick and pack customer orders.
- Load and unload deliveries safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support stocktakes.
- Keep the showroom, warehouse, and surrounding areas clean, safe, and well organised.
- Complete deliveries safely and courteously while complying with road rules.
- Contribute to the branch safety culture.
- Support both the sales and warehouse functions.
- Experience in electrical wholesale, hardware, building supplies, or a related industry.
- A current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one.
