eClinical Solutions hosts ENGAGE 2026 with 250+ attendees from 75+ life science firms.

eClinical Solutions hosts ENGAGE 2026 with 250+ attendees from 75+ life science firms. More than 250 attendees from over 75 life science organizations, including GSK, will gather in Philadelphia October 12-14 for ENGAGE 2026, eClinical Solutions' eighth annual client and partner conference. The number matters less than what it signals: clinical data management is generating enough operational complexity that a vendor conference now draws that breadth of biopharma participation, with the explicit agenda of turning data intelligence into decisions rather than reports. The timing is pointed. The FDA released its updated electronic systems and records guidance in October 2024, setting clearer expectations for how sponsors and investigators handle electronic data capture across clinical investigations. Teams still working out how to comply while keeping enrollment on track have real operational questions, and a focused gathering of this kind is where implementation specifics actually get worked through, not just announced. eClinical Solutions positions elluminate, its clinical data platform, as the connective layer between raw trial data and the analytical outputs that operations teams use to act. The ENGAGE conference is built around that pitch, with sessions designed to show attendees how organizations are using the platform to close the gap between data collection and decision-making. For the 75-plus organizations represented, the practical question is whether the workflows on display map to their own trial structures, or whether they're watching a curated demo. Watch whether eClinical Solutions publishes specific case studies from the event, particularly from named sponsors. That's where conference claims about operational impact either become credible or stay marketing.

"As AI becomes more capable, the question for clinical development is how to make it useful in work where context matters and decisions carry consequences," said Raj Indupuri, CEO and co-founder of eClinical Solutions. "That requires going beyond technology to incorporate the expertise of the people conducting the research. Our eighth annual ENGAGE event brings those people together to share what is working and help shape what comes next." Day 1 Agenda Highlights Raj Indupuri will give a CEO address discussing how connected data, study context, and human judgment can turn rapidly improving AI into clinical decisions people can trust. eClinical Solutions' Chief Product Officer, Nathan Johnson, will illustrate a future "day in the life" of clinical teams working with AI, showing how clinical data intelligence can inform their decisions and actions. Dr. Elin Haf Davies will take the stage for the keynote address. A former children's nurse with a PhD in Neurometabolics, Dr. Davies has spent her career advancing treatments for rare diseases, including working in drug development, advising the European Medicines Agency, and founding digital health company Aparito. She is the first Welsh woman to row across the Atlantic and was on the first all-woman team to row across the Indian Ocean. She will share lessons in resilience, adaptability, and embracing uncertainty, exploring how leaders can lean into change, inspire innovation, and turn ideas into action. Also on day 1, Lauren Katzenstein and John Hirschman from Merck will share the company's medical monitoring journey with eClinical Solution's clinical data intelligence platform, elluminate. Later in the day, Parexel's Kenneth Lima Ganse and Swatin Shetty will present on the company's experience using elluminate to turn data into insight. Their presentation will include examples of how Parexel's experience implementing elluminate helps inform and strengthen platform innovation. The company will host mainstage discussions and interactive breakout sessions focused on advancing integrated and risk-based approaches to data review and management, along with risk-based quality management (RBQM) implementation, integration, and adoption with elluminate. As sponsors adapt to ICH E6(R3), effective RBQM requires organizations to integrate quality considerations into trial design and execution. Other session topics will address data ingestion and transformation workflows, and streamlining risk-based data management workflows with an integrated data review plan (IDRP). Additional speakers on day 1 will include Alex Crawford from Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Stijn Rogiers and Jasmine Kestemont from argenx, Jonathan Rowe from ZS, and Sean McNiff of Dyne Therapeutics. eClinical's Bob Arnesen, Vera Pomerantseva, Les Jordan, Sam Anwar, Meredith Bell, Nick Bartolone, Alicia Asgari, Jason Konn, and Raghu Cilukha will also present, alongside event emcee Dawn Kaminski. Day 2 Agenda Highlights Sarah Clark from AstraZeneca, Michael Underhill from Astellas, and Renu Shukla from Johnson & Johnson will join eClinical's Gina Wood to explore the human and operational impact of AI in clinical research during the panel "How Work Happens Now: Rethinking Clinical Data Process and Expertise in the Age of AI." While industry conversation focuses on new models, agents, and use cases, the panel will tackle the harder questions around what AI means for the people, processes, and expertise behind the work. Ian Shafer and Mike Kelley from PwC will highlight the power of turning signals into action when technology can break down silos and dynamically connect RBQM with R&D Ops. In the afternoon Chief Delivery Officer, Biometrics Services, Katrina Rice, together with eClinical's Grant Williamson, Diane Lacroix, and Demi Niforos, will review how the eClinical Solutions Biometrics Services team uses elluminate, incorporates AI into workflows, and operationalizes the clinical data intelligence platform for successful data delivery outcomes. Additional sessions on day 2 will focus on clinical data platform change management and adoption, data review AI use cases and results, and cross-functional collaboration via elluminate. Speakers will include Peter Bayer of Ascendis Pharma and Crystal Matthews-Barron of Karyopharm Therapeutics, plus eClinical's Yuliya Cashman-Kiperberg and Jaclyn Clark. The Gartner(R) Hype Cycle(TM) for Life Science R&D, 2026: what tech is worth the Hype?

The Gartner(R) Hype Cycle(TM) for Life Science R&D, 2026: what tech is worth the Hype? Published: August 5, 2026 Clinical development teams have no shortage of technologies to choose from. Across the market, solutions promise to improve trial efficiency, strengthen oversight, reduce costs, and help bring therapies to patients faster. But as the pace of technology innovation increases, the question of which technologies to invest in becomes difficult to answer. This year's Gartner(R) Hype Cycle(TM) for Life Science R&D attempts to discover which of these latest technologies are worth the hype. Designed to help life science leaders assess the potential value, maturity, and adoption timelines of the latest tech, The Gartner(R) Hype Cycle(TM) for Life Science R&D, 2026 evaluates more than 30 emerging and maturing technologies across discovery, clinical development, laboratory operations, regulatory affairs, and quality management. For clinical trial organizations, three technologies listed in the Hype Cycle(TM) stand out to eClinical Solutions LLC. * Clinical Data Analytics Platforms * Risk-Based Quality Management * GenAI Clinical Intelligence Below, eClinical Solutions LLC explore why these technologies are especially relevant to clinical development, and what organizations should consider as they evaluate their adoption strategies. Clinical Data Analytics Platforms. Clinical trials generate growing volumes of clinical, operational, safety, and patient data across an expanding ecosystem of systems and partners. Yet much of that information remains fragmented, making it difficult for teams to gain a timely and complete view of trial performance. According to Gartner, clinical data analytics platforms, "unify clinical data management, operational analytics and data science workflows on a lakehouse architecture, replacing traditional data warehouses and point analytics tools. They augment existing solutions involved in intaking, processing and managing clinical and operational data from source systems and enable end-user analytics point solutions that support trial operations." The united data from multiple trial sources supports activities such as clinical review, operational analytics, data mapping, visualization, statistical analysis, and AI-enabled workflows. eClinical Solutions LLC also see Gartner identify several barriers to adoption, including continued reliance on paper-based processes, legacy clinical data warehouses, unclear return on replacement investments, and the operational changes required to introduce more integrated ways of working. What does this mean for clinical trial organizations? CDAPs are set to improve transparency, break down data silos, and enable impactful, more informed decision. But value of your analytics solution depends on the data beneath it. Organizations assessing clinical data analytics platforms should consider how effectively a solution can connect clinical and operational data, support existing review processes, and establish a scalable foundation for future analytics and AI initiatives. Note: Gartner listed eClinical Solutions as a Sample Vendor in the Clinical Data Analytics Platform category. Explore the elluminate(R) Clinical Data Intelligence Platform here. Risk-Based Quality Management. Risk-based approaches are now an established part of clinical trial strategy and regulatory guidance. However, successfully putting Risk-Based Quality Management into practice remains a challenge for many organizations. Gartner describes RBQM as an approach that applies risk assessment and quality management across clinical trials and says, "These tools allow for trial operations teams to monitor trials, investigator sites and patient data based on evaluated risk to patient safety and trial outcomes." Rather than relying on 100% source data verification, RBQM helps teams direct monitoring and quality activities toward the areas presenting the greatest risk to patient safety or trial outcomes. eClinical Solutions LLC see that The report points to continued regulatory momentum - including the adoption of ICH E6(R3) - as a driver of RBQM technology. It also identifies the growing interest in AI-assisted risk review and centralized monitoring. Despite these factors driving RBQM technology innovation and adoption, traditional monitoring practices, siloed applications, cultural resistance, and limited confidence in data integrity and auditability continue to slow adoption. Effective RBQM requires more than individual risk indicators or dashboards. When evaluation RBQM solutions, organizations should consider how technology supports the full risk-management process - from risk assessment and review planning through centralized monitoring, issue management, mitigation, and ongoing oversight. Note: Gartner listed eClinical Solutions as a Sample Vendor in the Risk-Based Quality Management category. Explore elluminate(R) RBQM here. GenAI Clinical Intelligence. Generative AI has attracted significant attention across the life sciences, but the Gartner description of GenAI clinical intelligence is more specific than a general-purpose chatbot. Gartner defines the technology as, "an AI conversational assistant that provides an intelligence layer for e-clinical solutions, leveraging e-clinical content stores and context-specific protocols, SOPs, training resources, runbooks, study plans, and other information to provide responses to user queries." These assistants can provide users with relevant information, insights, alerts, and workflow support within the clinical development environment. Though the potential is significant, Gartner classifies GenAI clinical intelligence as emerging, with current market penetration of only 1% to 5%. Trusted content and data architectures, carefully selected use cases, human oversight, governance, validation, and protection against inaccurate outputs will all be important to responsible adoption. Clinical AI will be most valuable when it is grounded in trusted study data, documentation, and workflows. As organizations evaluate AI capabilities, they should consider not only what an assistant can generate, but also how its responses are governed, verified, and connected to the work clinical teams already perform. Explore the Gartner Hype Cycle for Life Science R&D, 2026. Clinical development leaders face an expanding field of technology choices, each competing for investment and attention. The Gartner Hype Cycle for Life Science R&D, 2026 provides an independent view of the technologies shaping the industry, their potential business value, and their expected time to mainstream adoption. Download the full report to explore the Gartner analysis of clinical data analytics platforms, Risk-Based Quality Management, GenAI clinical intelligence, and the other technologies influencing the future of life science R&D.
