Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or current registration as a Professional Engineer in one of those disciplines.
  • Five years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
  • Design experience with programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems.
  • Ability to walk down systems in the field.
  • Proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office, with advanced ability in Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week under schedules including 5/8s, 4/10s, or 9/80s.
Responsibilities
  • Provide support engineering services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams.
  • Perform engineering analysis, walkdowns, and design development.
  • Generate design output documents, including P&IDs, control logics, loop diagrams, instrument indices, setpoint lists, instrument and control valve specifications, distributed control system and programmable logic controller designs, instrument location and installation designs, and panel layouts.
  • Review vendor documents.
  • Use SRR processes and procedures to provide engineering services.
  • Travel off site as needed to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other engineering organizations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in two-dimensional MicroStation computer-aided drafting and design.
