Who You Are 

Spot & Tango is looking for an Senior Accounting Associate to join our NY HQ team! In this role, you will play a key role in the day to day financial operations of the company. This position involves assisting with the preparation of financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations 
• Process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers
• Monitor accounts receivable, ensuring collections are timely and following up on overdue accounts Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports and ensure accurate reflection of cash balances 
• Monitor and track employee company card expenses 
• Gather and organize documents for tax preparation, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations
• Maintain and update financial records in Netsuite
• Provide support to Controller with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process 
• Assist accounting and finance team members with special projects as needed

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably a similar role 
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Excel. Experience with ERP software (Netsuite preferred) and AP processing (Stampli preferred)
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Dog lovers a plus!

This is a hybrid position. You must be able to commute into our office in Midtown Manhattan Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
