Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with a related product line, specifically heat exchangers and expansion systems, in a similar industry is required.
  • Five to seven years of experience working with product development, product management, sales, design engineering, manufacturing, and distribution operations in an industrial or commercial business-to-business environment is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product engineering and management principles, general practices, regulations, policies, and procedures is required.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-considered recommendations is required.
  • Strong team-oriented leadership skills and a bias for action are required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a focus on results is required.
  • Ability to communicate openly and authentically in all situations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support lifecycle direction and profit-and-loss management for a suite of offerings.
  • Analyze macro trends, addressable markets, growth rates, competition, market positioning, differentiation, and financial aspirations across market segments.
  • Execute Voice of Customer and Voice of Sales activities.
  • Develop the competitive landscape using market reports, outlooks, market shares, and win-loss data to inform and refine offering strategy.
  • Create business propositions for capital investment, market growth, and improved market position.
  • Identify market and product development opportunities and present them to Leadership according to investment criteria, vision, and financial hurdle rates.
  • Identify target market segments, vertical sectors, and key accounts for Sales Plan execution.
  • Support the Offering Roadmap with value propositions, business cases, launches, and in-market support.
  • Contribute to the Annual Business Plan and its execution.
  • Manage revenue, standard margin, and sales contribution goals globally and across selling territories.
  • Execute pricing strategy, including price lists, ARMs, incentives and rewards, variable cost structure, and annual product-cost reduction targets.
  • Own offering lifecycles from introduction and maturity through pricing, ongoing price management, ARM structure, retirement, and end-of-life stock-keeping units.
  • Coordinate lifecycle activities to achieve business-plan targets and improve inventory turns.
  • Work with Operations to ensure delivery against target-market requirements and monitor performance metrics.
  • Work with Operations on improvement plans where required.
  • Improve quality and delivery.
  • Manage marketing and communications programs for the offering, including awareness, consideration, hit rate, and conversion goals.
  • Work with Corporate Marketing and Communications on offering programs.
  • Collaborate with Sales to optimize the multichannel model for reach and profitability.
  • Adjust channel structure and incentives to exceed strategy and annual business-plan goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master of Business Administration or equivalent business training is an asset.
  • International and North American market experience is desirable.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and conflict-management ability within centralized and matrix organizational structures are desirable.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into simplified forms is desirable.
