About the job

Requirements
  • Demonstrated Principal or Distinguished Engineer expertise.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in testability and Design-for-Test (DFT) for ASICs, memories, and 2.5D system-in-package devices.
  • Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art DFT techniques in memory built-in self-test (MBIST), input/output built-in self-test (IOBIST), logic built-in self-test (LBIST), JTAG, scan/automatic test pattern generation (ATPG), and IEEE 1687.
  • Strong working-level experience in ASIC DFT implementation, post-silicon validation, debugging, and diagnostic integration.
  • Exposure to semiconductor test challenges and solutions for high-performance ASICs, through-silicon vias (TSV), high-bandwidth memory (HBM) DRAM, 2.5D, and 3D integrated circuits.
  • Broad experience with ASIC suppliers, intellectual property/electronic design automation vendors, 2.5D system-in-package ecosystem partners, and contract manufacturers.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and program management skills, with the ability to influence others independently.
  • A BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Develop test strategy and Design-for-Test (DFT) solutions for ASICs and 2.5D system-in-package devices to support high test coverage requirements of components and systems.
  • Concentrate on Pre-P0 development and work between hardware engineering development teams and supplier development teams.
  • Work closely with design teams to enable DFT features in ASICs, validate them on automated test equipment (ATE), integrate them into diagnostics, and implement them in manufacturing tests.
  • Develop innovative DFT intellectual property in collaboration with cross-functional teams inside and outside the company.
  • Work closely with component engineers to resolve high defects per million (DPPM) ASIC issues at electronics manufacturing services partner sites.
  • Engage in test standards working groups, including IEEE 1149, IEEE 1687, P1838, and JC-42 Solid State Memories.
  • Advise Juniper teams—including ASIC frontend, physical design, DFT, system software, diagnostics, hardware, and manufacturing test teams—on ASIC testability from ASIC kickoff through production release.
  • Identify and solve structural versus functional test coverage gaps, and incorporate new fault models for advanced semiconductor technology nodes.
  • Demonstrate innovation through patents, published technical papers, and conference presentations.
  • Own ASIC test requirements for ASIC marketing requirements documents, phase-exit validation, advanced test-mode development, fault coverage attainment, manufacturability objectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the test authority with ASIC suppliers, working with their product/test teams, quality, design engineering, and technologists to correlate and eliminate ASIC failures in company systems with wafer test, package test, and BLCT-1.
  • Independently solve no-trouble-found supplier issues by creating unique ATE-level tests based on strong knowledge of chip design.
  • Influence supplier testing to implement manufacturability modes favorable to Juniper in suppliers’ production tests.

About the company

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

View

Hewlett Packard Enterprise sells servers, storage, networking and hybrid cloud software to large companies, governments and service providers. Its GreenLake platform lets customers run on-premises hardware as a metered cloud service, and its Cray supercomputers run national lab and AI training workloads. The networking business, built on Aruba and Juniper Networks, supplies campus, data-center and routing equipment. Revenue comes from hardware sales, multiyear support contracts, financing and subscriptions. The company traces its roots to Hewlett-Packard, founded in 1939, became a separate public company in 2015 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

HPE shares rise 4% to $57.46 on AI and lunar computing news, outpacing Dell and Super Micro

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) shares rose about 4% to $57.46, outpacing other AI server stocks. Dell Technologies gained roughly 2% to $462.42, while Super Micro Computer was essentially unchanged at $33.73. The S&P 500 ETF SPY slipped 0.34% to $761.35, while the Global X Data Center & Digital Infrastructure ETF rose about 2% to $25.39. HPE expanded its AI Factory offerings with NVIDIA and deepened a partnership with Schneider Electric to deploy industrial AI agents at the edge. It also said its Spaceborne Computer-4 will travel to the Moon's south pole on Astrolab's FLIP rover later this year. Investors may be favouring HPE's broader mix of enterprise, edge, and specialised computing over narrower peers.

HPE shares fall 6.14% to $54.60 as it backs Nvidia OpenShell and Vera CPU racks

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) plans to support Nvidia OpenShell and introduce Vera CPU rack infrastructure. The move targets businesses that want tighter control over autonomous AI systems, sensitive data, and computing resources. HPE shares traded at $54.60, down 6.14%, at 11:20 EST on Thursday. In its fiscal third quarter, Cloud and AI revenue reached $9.0 billion, up 25.4% from a year earlier. The segment's operating margin rose to 17% from 7%. GuruFocus puts the shares 90.98% above its $28.59 GF Value estimate, suggesting investors still expect strong growth. HPE must now turn its AI offering into revenue and cash flow while defending its margin gains.

Schneider Electric, NVIDIA and HPE launch edge AI agents for process industries

Schneider Electric, NVIDIA and HPE have announced a collaboration to bring Physical AI to process and heavy industries. They unveiled Industrial AI Agents at the Edge in Berlin on October 22, 2026. The system runs on HPE Private Cloud AI, so autonomous agents work inside industrial sites. It targets three barriers to adoption: data sovereignty, cybersecurity, and AI consumption costs. The first three agents cover operational technology monitoring, cybersecurity, and energy optimisation. Customers manage them through Schneider's EcoStruxure Industrial Insights apps. CMPC Chile, a Latin American pulp and paper producer, has used Schneider's monitoring system for three years. It sees potential for AI agents to help its specialists investigate issues faster, while people stay in control of critical decisions.

HPE to run AI on the Moon this year with Spaceborne Computer 4 aboard Astrolab's FLIP rover

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) will run AI on the Moon before the end of the year. Its fourth-generation Spaceborne Computer (SBC4) will fly aboard Astrolab's Flex Lunar Innovation Platform (FLIP) rover, part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services programme. A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket will launch the rover, and Astrobotic's Griffin-1 lander will carry it to the Moon's south pole near Mons Mouton. SBC4 will run tuned large language model tests, machine learning on camera and LiDAR data, and supercomputing benchmarks, which could make it the first Top500 submission from a celestial body. The 1TB system uses mostly off-the-shelf parts, including Kioxia SSDs in a software RAID 1 mirror. Processing data locally saves scarce bandwidth back to Earth.

HPE shares fall 7.4% as Barclays downgrades and cuts target to $77

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) shares fell about 7.4% to $63.695 at 11:48 ET on October 14, after Barclays downgraded the stock to Equal Weight. The bank cut its price target to $77 from $83 but left its financial forecasts unchanged. The move questions how much investors should pay for HPE's growth story, not its earnings outlook. The share price sits 124.2% above GuruFocus's GF Value estimate of $28.41. Data-center networking revenue rose 112.2% year over year to $382 million, about 3.1% of quarterly revenue of $12.2 billion. The wider Networking segment brought in $2.9 billion at a 22% operating margin, against 17% for Cloud & AI. The next earnings report must show stronger evidence that the premium is justified.
