Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field is required.
  • An MBA is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment is required, with exposure to both domestic and international supply bases.
  • Familiarity with landed cost modeling, tariff and duty structures, import compliance, and cross-border logistics is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for cost modeling and data analysis and working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets are required.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning or material requirements planning systems is required.
  • The candidate must be able to negotiate and build and evaluate supplier relationships with a critical, structured approach.
  • The candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers across domestic and international markets for assigned commodities, including steel, hardware, packaging, and subassemblies.
  • Manage international sourcing considerations, including landed cost analysis, import duties and tariff exposure, lead time variability, and logistics complexity for globally sourced components.
  • Issue and manage requests for quotations, analyze competing bids, and lead negotiations to establish pricing, terms, and contractual foundations.
  • Build should-cost models to support data-driven negotiations and validate supplier pricing against market benchmarks.
  • Build detailed working knowledge of Rogue's internal manufacturing processes and products so sourcing decisions account for production constraints, not just unit cost.
  • Lead sourcing strategy for new product introductions end-to-end, from concept through the first production run.
  • Own end-to-end supplier and product qualification documentation, including approved vendor records, negotiated rates, quality history, and capability assessments.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to align on handoff standards and ensure qualified suppliers integrate into steady-state purchasing operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • APICS, Certified Supply Chain Professional, or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management certification is a plus.
