Full Stack Software Engineer

The Lead Technical Developer designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains scalable software applications and APIs that support business operations, user-facing solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality full-stack solutions across front-end, back-end, database, and cloud environments, with a focus on performance, reliability, maintainability, and secure development practices. The Lead Technical Developer works closely with product managers, architects, data and AI teams, and other stakeholders to build applications that create measurable business value and support emerging technology initiatives.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack software applications that support business needs, user experience requirements, and enterprise technology objectives.

• · Architect and implement scalable application components, APIs, and integrations that expose data and AI-enabled capabilities to end users and downstream systems.

• · Build and support front-end and back-end solutions using modern software engineering frameworks, languages, and development best practices.

• · Develop and maintain integrations with third-party platforms, internal systems, and AI/ML or LLM-based service endpoints as required by the business.

• · Ensure application quality, reliability, and maintainability through automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and production support practices.

• · Monitor and improve application performance, logging, observability, and operational stability in production and non-production environments.

• · Collaborate with product managers, architects, analysts, and cross-functional technical teams to translate business requirements into practical, scalable software solutions.

• · Participate in solution design, technical analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution for software and application issues.

• · Support secure software development practices, including responsible coding, access control considerations, and adherence to internal standards and policies.

• · Work with relational and NoSQL data stores to support application functionality, performance, and data management requirements.

• · Contribute to continuous improvement of our AI-driven Software Development Lifecycle.

• · Remain current in full-stack development, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled software capabilities and apply relevant advancements where beneficial.

• · Comply with applicable ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System requirements and other internal policies and procedures.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• Degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8 years of relevant experience preferred

• Experience with Web and Mobile App Development (Android, iOS and Windows).

Technical Skills:

• UI — TypeScript, HTML, CSS; Svelte/SvelteKit preferred. React, Vue, or Angular experience is acceptable.

• Server — Go and/or Python (FastAPI). Node, .NET, or Java APIs are acceptable related experience.

• Data — Cosmos DB and/or PostgreSQL; Kafka, Redis, or blob storage a plus.

• Cloud — Azure and Entra ID preferred; equivalent cloud + SSO experience is welcome.

• AI — LLM/RAG work, Tailwind, Vite, and event-driven services

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of full-stack software development principles, application architecture, and modern software engineering practices.

• · Strong experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting user-facing software applications in production environments.

• · Proficiency with front-end and back-end development technologies and frameworks used to deliver scalable enterprise applications.

• · Strong understanding of API design, system integration, and service-based architecture principles.

• · Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and the deployment of cloud-based applications.

• · Experience with automated testing, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.

• · Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, and application performance optimization in production systems.

• · Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and the ability to design or support efficient data access patterns.

• · Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.

• · Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience integrating or consuming AI/ML or LLM-based APIs and services.

• · Understanding of software security principles and responsible development practices.

• · Experience troubleshooting technical and application issues and identifying practical improvements to systems and processes.

• · Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

• · Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

• · Experience with feature flagging, experimentation, or A/B testing frameworks is preferred.

• · Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to a manager or Director level position.
