Requirements
  • Retail or guest service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and insurability to drive are required.
  • Able to maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Able to complete Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Able to use the computer system efficiently.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform math skills.
  • Able to adapt to change and work a flexible schedule, including possible weekends and evenings.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach, talk, and hear; and occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, competent customer service.
  • Coordinate the service center’s scheduling and workflow.
  • Write service orders for the location, including creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following cash-handling policies, ordering parts, and collecting payment for jobs.
  • Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians as needed.
  • Understand marketing and sales strategies to finalize transactions.
  • Consult with technicians about needed repairs and communicate those needs to customers.
  • Increase knowledge of products and services to understand industry needs.
  • Understand customers’ needs and communicate them to technicians, and communicate technicians’ information to customers.
  • Keep customer-facing items clean, stocked, and up to date.
  • Receive merchandise, stock it, and update pricing for showroom products.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
  • Assign work to technicians within company guidelines.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Report to work on time when scheduled.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
