  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field such as instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience engaging with engineering teams, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, or owner-operators in industrial automation, instrumentation, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical specifications, vendor qualification processes, or project outcomes.
  • Experience leading or mentoring individuals or teams, with a focus on collaboration and development.
  • Understanding of the project lifecycle from early design through procurement and execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical training or product capability sessions to engineering audiences, including drafting structured, multi-level training plans.
  • Experience engaging or coordinating with global or strategic account management teams on shared accounts, including aligning pursuit strategies and sharing structured account intelligence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support customers and team collaboration, approximately 25–30%.
Responsibilities
  • Build and expand Emerson's preferred or exclusive specification status across assigned Global Engineering Centers and product lines.
  • Lead early engagement with engineering teams and stakeholders to influence specifications and project outcomes.
  • Develop and execute structured account strategies, including playbooks, pipeline visibility, and opportunity mapping.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to align pursuit strategies, share insights, and ensure consistent customer engagement.
  • Guide commercial awareness by supporting frame agreements and tracking specification-to-order conversion performance.
  • Design and deliver technical training programs to enhance customer engagement and support specification adoption.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate customer relationship management data, provide regular reporting, and use insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple engineering and project functions.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-level training plan for each assigned Global Engineering Center, including awareness sessions, product application training, and advanced technical workshops; position training as a strategic specification and preference tool.
  • Review equivalent plans developed and maintained by the Project Pursuit Senior Managers.
  • Partner with Global Strategic Account Managers and Global Strategic Accounts and Specification Managers to align pursuit strategies and deliver consistent stakeholder messaging for Global Engineering Centers.
  • Share account intelligence, specification activity, and project pipeline updates with Global Strategic Account counterparts.
  • Support and oversee approved vendor list qualification, Global Frame Agreement utilization, and licensor engagement activities at the Global Engineering Center level.
  • Serve as the in-country leadership interface between global programs and the national field team.

  • Experience supervising team members located in diverse locations.
  • Experience supporting or executing global Approved Vendor List qualification efforts, Global Frame Agreement utilization, and licensor engagement programs at a local or regional level.

Emerson to open Middle East service centre with Qatar's first certified flow calibration lab

Global automation leader Emerson plans to build a new automation solutions service centre in Qatar's Umm Alhoul Free Zone. The 3,500-square-metre facility will house the region's first certified flow calibration lab and expand Emerson's capabilities across the Middle East and Africa. The centre will offer measurement instrumentation solutions, spare parts distribution, customer training facilities, and distributed control system integration services. Opening in phases, control systems and measurement solutions will launch in December 2026, with the calibration lab following in early 2027. The investment aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030's economic diversification goals. The facility adds to Emerson's existing Middle East presence in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, helping regional customers reduce operational disruptions and accelerate project timelines.

Emerson acquires Glue Inc. to boost AI-driven test and measurement capabilities

Emerson has acquired Glue Inc., an innovator in AI-enabled validation and test software. The acquisition strengthens Emerson's Test & Measurement capabilities and accelerates development of NI Nigel AI, the industry's first AI optimised for test and measurement workflows. Glue Studio's technology specialises in AI-centric test generation and planning. The platform will be integrated into Nigel, which is embedded within NI software and trained in test system design, methodologies, and data analysis. This integration will enhance Nigel's ability to connect validation workflows and accelerate the path from design to verified performance. "Glue Studio brings highly complementary capabilities that align closely with Emerson's strategy to lead in software-defined test and measurement," said Ritu Favre, group president of Test & Measurement at Emerson. Emerson Electric raises 2026 outlook after Q3 orders surge 7% on semiconductor, power demand

Emerson Electric reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 results exceeding expectations, driven by broad-based order growth and stronger demand in North America and Asia. CEO Lal Karsanbhai said underlying orders rose 7% whilst underlying sales increased 6%. Growth verticals surged 27%, led by semiconductor growth of 53% and power generation up 37%. Adjusted earnings per share rose 13% year-over-year to $1.71, surpassing guidance. Following the performance, Emerson raised its full-year outlook. The company now expects fiscal 2026 underlying sales growth of 3.5%, adjusted earnings per share of approximately $6.55, and free cash flow of roughly $3.6 billion. Third-quarter free cash flow increased 36% to $1.3 billion. The company's backlog reached $8.2 billion, up 7% year-over-year.

Emerson raises 2026 outlook after Q3 sales, margins and cash flow beat expectations

Emerson reported third quarter results for the period ended 30 June 2026, with underlying sales up 6% and net sales rising 7%. The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.555 per share, payable on 10 September 2026. Adjusted earnings per share increased 13% in the quarter. Operating cash flow grew 34%, whilst free cash flow rose 36%. Adjusted segment EBITA margin expanded 140 basis points to 28.5%. Underlying orders increased 7%, led by Software & Systems and broad-based growth in North America and Asia. The company raised its full year 2026 guidance, now expecting underlying sales growth of approximately 3.5% and adjusted earnings per share of around $6.55. Emerson plans to return approximately $2.2 billion to shareholders through $1 billion in share repurchases and $1.2 billion in dividends.
