About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of commercial experience as a project manager or manufacturing automation lead.
  • Experience successfully releasing several projects, including projects involving hardware.
  • A basic understanding of how electronic devices work and what they comprise.
  • Experience facilitating meetings aimed at finding optimal solutions among specialists from different disciplines.
  • Ability to address emerging issues promptly, switch between tasks quickly, and take responsibility for decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from approval of requirements for automated device testing, firmware, or calibration through implementation of all stages in mass production.
  • Assign and monitor tasks; oversee ordering and assembly of circuit boards and components; coordinate across device and pre-production teams to release new devices and with the production technical department to scale developed equipment.
  • Conduct kick-off meetings and other project activities, maintain meeting notes, and oversee preparation of project documentation and instructions for test equipment and programs.
  • Troubleshoot projects already launched in production.
  • Assist with people-management and team-building processes.
  • Manage supporting projects to optimize and automate team processes and interdepartmental collaboration, optimize pilot-batch launches, and modernize production.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with hardware projects, the Internet of Things, or manufacturing automation.
  • General understanding of how electronic-device manufacturing works.
  • Understanding and application of Servant Leadership principles.
