About the job

Requirements
  • Progressive product leadership experience in industrial or physical-world B2B technology, enterprise software, or AI, including leadership at the executive or senior functional level.
  • Demonstrated success defining product strategy, managing a portfolio, and scaling products through a significant growth stage; experience following institutional financing is strongly valued.
  • Experience leading both Product Management and a product operating discipline, including roadmap governance, product analytics, planning cadences, and launch readiness.
  • Strong commercial orientation with evidence of connecting product decisions to revenue, adoption, retention, customer outcomes, and market expansion.
  • Track record of building, developing, and scaling high-performing teams in a cross-functional, geographically distributed environment.
  • Ability to engage credibly with technical teams, customers, executives, and Board members and to simplify complex issues into clear decisions.
  • Experience in energy, industrial operations, production optimization, or asset-intensive industries is an asset.
  • Experience with products that act on physical systems (OT, industrial control, energy), where a wrong decision has safety or dollar consequences, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with products delivered alongside customer-facing domain experts is an asset.
  • Willingness to spend regular time in the field with operators, roughly 20–25% travel.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Ability to connect customer problems, market opportunity, company economics, and technology choices to a focused portfolio.
  • Ability to build direct understanding of customer workflows and use evidence rather than volume or hierarchy to guide decisions.
  • Ability to make explicit trade-offs, protect focus, and create accountability for outcomes rather than activity.
  • Ability to build trust across functions, invite challenge, and give teams clarity without unnecessary control.
  • Comfort moving between executive strategy and the practical systems, talent, and operating rhythms required to scale.
  • Ability to communicate clearly through ambiguity and help teams adapt while maintaining momentum.
  • Ability to express strategy and decisions as written narratives and own quarterly product communication.
Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the product vision and strategy, lead sequencing of bets across the life of the well, and maintain an outcome-based portfolio roadmap aligned with company strategy, market opportunity, and financial objectives.
  • Translate strategic priorities into product bets, sequencing decisions, and investment recommendations, balancing growth, customer value, platform scale, technical health, and risk.
  • Establish portfolio governance and decision rights for transparent, evidence-based trade-offs and disciplined decisions to stop, start, or accelerate work.
  • Partner with the Co-CEOs and executive team on annual planning, Board materials, operating reviews, and product investment decisions.
  • Build a product management practice spanning market discovery, customer research, problem framing, discovery that retires value, usability, feasibility and viability risk before build, and outcome-based roadmaps.
  • Develop understanding of lean production teams managing large well counts, economic buyers, workflows, and decision criteria across target markets.
  • Ensure product teams validate measurable customer problems and expected commercial value before committing significant development capacity.
  • Create a continuous customer-feedback system involving Customer Success, Sales, field teams, and strategic customers while retaining clear product decision accountability.
  • Ensure usability of field and engineering workflows at the wellsite and at the desk.
  • Co-lead Product Operations with the Head of Product Operations, who reports to the role, covering planning, prioritization, release readiness, product data, tooling, governance, and cross-functional communication.
  • Implement a consistent product-development cadence from discovery through launch and post-launch learning, with clear decision rights and a quarterly review of committed versus delivered work and KPI movement.
  • Improve visibility and reliability on important commitments without adding unnecessary process or limiting innovation.
  • Establish product tooling, documentation standards, portfolio reporting, and knowledge management that can scale with the company.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to define market segments, positioning, packaging, pricing inputs, launch plans, and enablement for new and existing offerings.
  • Connect roadmap priorities to revenue growth, retention, expansion, implementation success, and customer time to value.
  • Shape how the company's software and domain expertise combine to deliver operator outcomes and scale that model.
  • Use market intelligence, competitive analysis, win-loss insights, and customer outcomes to guide product-market-fit decisions.
  • Represent product strategy with customers, partners, investors, and the Board when required.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to align product outcomes, architectural direction, platform scalability, security, reliability, and delivery capacity, with Product owning which problems to solve and in what order and Engineering owning how to build and technical feasibility.
  • Guide responsible product use of AI and automation considering model performance, explainability, data quality, customer trust, and operational safety.
  • Lead adoption of AI-accelerated product discovery and delivery to shorten the path from idea to validated and shipped.
  • Balance differentiated innovation with platform standardization for repeatable deployment and efficient growth.
  • Ensure product priorities reflect real-world industrial workflows, integration requirements, and operational constraints.
  • Design and scale the Product organization, including role clarity, structure, workforce plans, capability requirements, and succession depth across Product Management and Product Operations.
  • Build empowered, durable product teams and give each outcome-based objectives tied to the North Star rather than feature assignments.
  • Recruit, coach, and retain product leaders and practitioners; set clear expectations and build a culture of ownership, curiosity, humility, and measurable outcomes.
  • Create strong interfaces and decision rights across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering.
  • Lead through growth and change with transparent communication, sound judgment, and difficult prioritization decisions.
  • Write quarterly product communications that review commitments, delivery, and KPI movement.
  • Spend regular time in the field with operators, roughly 20–25% travel.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience following institutional financing is strongly valued.

About the company

Ambyint provides software and hardware that optimize upstream oil and gas wells. It integrates with customers’ SCADA systems and analytics tools to monitor performance and automate decisions. The solution collects field data, uses AI and deep data analytics to detect anomalies and adjust controller settings for plunger and rod lift wells, deploying changes through its hardware-software stack for continuous optimization. Its differentiators are standardized SCADA integration, military-grade data security, user-centered design, and lifecycle optimization across lift types, all aimed at raising production while lowering operating costs.
