About the job

Requirements
  • Around 5+ years in growth product, product management or growth marketing, in a role that carried a direct revenue or conversion target.
  • Strong SEO experience with enough SEO fluency to brief and challenge a specialist agency without needing to be the specialist.
  • A numbers-oriented or technical background, preferably in engineering, analytics, or another quantitative discipline rather than a purely marketing discipline.
  • A track record of shipping with engineering teams, including writing clear specifications and understanding technical constraints.
  • Experience building and defending a prioritised roadmap with a stated impact model behind it.
  • Direct experience talking to and testing with customers.
  • Confidence in Google Analytics 4 and a business intelligence tool, with the ability to build an estimate from first principles.
  • A willingness or ability to work within supply constraints in a two-sided marketplace and avoid acquiring demand that cannot be serviced.
  • Experience in conversion optimisation and experimentation.
  • Experience with large language model or generative search visibility.
  • Experience with consumer products involving high-consideration, emotionally loaded, infrequent decisions such as legal, health, finance, or insurance.
  • Early-stage or scale-up experience and comfort with imperfect data and unfinished infrastructure.
Responsibilities
  • Own the search engine optimisation and growth roadmap, including identifying opportunities, sizing their value, prioritising work, and driving initiatives through engineering and design to launch and measurement.
  • Turn agency strategy into a sequenced, shipped roadmap covering programmatic content, technical fixes, site structure, data enrichment, and link building.
  • Position the product to be cited by artificial intelligence answer engines.
  • Run the conversion experimentation programme after the rebuilt intake is shipped.
  • Manage the wider growth surface, including landing pages, quality score, lifecycle and recovery flows, and potentially new acquisition channels.
  • Find and size opportunities from agency recommendations, data signals, or hypotheses by estimating value, confidence, and cost of learning.
  • Maintain one ranked backlog across the growth surface and defend prioritisation decisions with an impact-based rationale.
  • Write specifications, get work into the engineering backlog, remove blockers, and see initiatives through to launch.
  • Speak with consumers who have used the product and lawyers who claim the work, watch sessions, and incorporate observed behaviour into the roadmap.
  • Design experiments, interpret successful and failed results, and feed findings into future prioritisation.
  • Brief agency partners, challenge weak ideas, and determine when a partner is no longer adding value.
  • Account for lawyer supply constraints by acquiring consumers only in categories and locations where demand can be served.
  • Design consumer experiences and content that inform, triage, and route users without providing advice on specific legal matters.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two-sided marketplace experience, including supply constraints, liquidity, matching, and disciplined demand acquisition.
  • Depth in conversion optimisation and experimentation.
