Requirements
- Business License (EIN) is required.
- Carry $1 million in liability insurance.
- General knowledge of event production or technical theater.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure and manage chaotic event conditions.
- Ability to perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working on ladders.
- Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
Responsibilities
- Operate lighting systems for special events, corporate events, general sessions, product launches, and other events.
- Program static/ambient lighting and concert/performance lighting.
- Install and operate uplighting, theatrical fixtures, LED lights, and dimming/control systems.
- Busk and cue lighting during events.
- Assist with various event-based production activities as an on-call independent contractor.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with grandMA3.
- Basic knowledge of electricity, power distribution, and lighting equipment.
- Experience installing and operating uplighting, theatrical fixtures, LED lights, and dimming/control systems.
- Ability to make changes on the fly while working efficiently under pressure.
- Experience working with clients and lighting designers.
- Experience with busking and cueing.
- Experience programming static/ambient lighting and concert/performance lighting.
- Experience with DMX over Ethernet networking, including Art-Net and sACN.
- Basic knowledge of circuit loads.
