As an Enterprise & Operational Risk Manager in Global Risk Management (GRM), you will lead a team of risk professionals and work with business partners across the organization to identify and evaluate key operational risks and controls that help our business leaders ensure operational effectiveness, manage risks, and strengthen the control environment. You will provide valuable enterprise and operational risk management expertise for internal controls related to CG’s core operational business. You will also support organizational risk oversight and governance across our business groups and other enterprise risk-related activities as needed. To thrive in this role, you’ve led a team of risk management and/or audit-related professionals while managing large scale projects intended to provide visibility to identified risks and control enhancement opportunities.

- You are well versed in enterprise and operational risk management and/or internal control techniques relating to an asset manager’s core operational business.
- You have managed operational event response processes to enable prompt event resolution, partner with business areas to complete event reports, identify adequate control enhancements, and support periodic exception report review and SOX certification processes.
- You have led risk reporting and related communications to executive management, governance committees and other key stakeholders providing balanced risk management perspective, detailing relevant operational events and other risk management activities and initiatives.
- You have managed activities supporting a SOC 1 audit program including working with impacted business area leadership and external auditors.
- You have experience with the continuous review and evolution of risk management frameworks in response to business and regulatory change and have supported implementation of change where needed.
- You have strong planning, organization, and project management skills to exercise good judgement and have a process for managing competing priorities. You are comfortable when priorities shift, and you manage change with steadfast composure.
- You have managed both people and projects, working well with and through others on cross-functional and enterprise initiatives, and resolving matters of complexity and ambiguity independently while demonstrating sound judgment.
- You have built strong relationships with business partners providing broad risk management and technical expertise.
- You embody our core values and can motivate and develop a high performing team. This will include coaching, mentoring, identifying stretch opportunities, assigning work and managing performance.
- You demonstrate inclusion with authenticity and impact and take action to inspire inclusion for the team.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $148,045-$236,872
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
