  • Hold a doctoral degree (DNP, EdD, PhD) in nursing or education.
  • Must be eligible for a New Hampshire nursing license.
  • Have 2-4 years of nursing education experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with a culturally and academically diverse student population.
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with students, faculty, administration/staff, and external constituents.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven dedication to student learning.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver instructional material in alignment with course objectives and student outcomes.
  • Utilize a variety of appropriate teaching strategies to promote student learning.
  • Evaluate and document student progress and provide relevant and timely feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues to develop, support and implement curriculum.
  • Actively participate in governance for the School of Nursing.
  • Serve on School of Nursing, college or university committees as required.
  • Participate in evaluation of programs and accreditation activities.
  • Serve as an academic advisor to nursing students.

  • Experience working with college-age and non-traditional students.
  • Skill in working with culturally diverse constituencies in the academic environment.
  • Ability to cultivate external relationships with community leaders, institutions, and stakeholders.
  • Experience teaching via online learning management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation, disability and ethnic backgrounds.
