Requirements
  • Deep Financial Expertise: Strong technical depth in corporate finance, knowledge of GAAP accounting, and SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, magic number, Rule of 40), with the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.
  • Fundraising Experience: Proven experience leading venture financing rounds end-to-end, with a track record of successful diligence management and investor relationship building.
  • Audit Experience: You have prepared a company for and successfully led it through a meaningful external audit — including working papers, technical accounting memos, and auditor management.
  • Leadership Experience: You have led finance and accounting teams in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment, fostering a culture of transparency, ownership, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Strategic & Tactical Ability: You can define high-level financial strategy while remaining hands-on enough to dive into models, billing configurations, and contract reviews when needed.
  • Communication Skills: You can effectively articulate complex financial concepts to a variety of audiences, from engineers to VCs and C-level executives.
Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Leadership: Build, lead, and scale a high-performing finance and accounting function responsible for driving capital efficiency and long-term financial health. You will own VOLT’s financial operating system end-to-end.
  • FP&A and Modeling: Own the operating model, annual budget, and rolling forecast. You will be the expert in planning, reporting, and modeling financials to support strategic decision-making across the company.
  • Accounting & Compliance: Partner with Accountants to own the post-transaction financial reality — month-end close, GAAP reporting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and tax compliance. You will ensure accuracy in financial reporting while finding efficiencies across the P&L.
  • Audit Readiness: Prepare VOLT for and lead the company through its first full external financial audit. You will stand up the controls, documentation, working papers, and reporting cadence that a public-company-track business requires.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Serve as the CEO’s key partner during fundraising. You will lead the operating model, KPI book, data room, and management presentation, manage diligence, and own the financial narrative for new and existing investors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the financial voice of the business, providing critical feedback to Product, GTM, and Engineering to influence the roadmap based on unit economics and efficiency metrics that have a clear impact on new business and retention.
  • Capital Strategy: Evaluate and execute equity, venture debt, and non-dilutive capital options, and support the CEO on any M&A activity, including diligence, valuation, modeling, and integration.
  • Systems & Operations: Own the finance tech stack — ERP, billing, expense, equity, BI — and the processes (procurement, contracting, order-to-cash) required to scale to a $50M+ ARR business.
  • Executive Partnership:Serve as the primary financial escalation point and engage directly with the Board of Directors and executive leadership to align financial constraints with ambitious growth goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA designation.
  • Experience taking a company through a Series B → Series C / D transition.
  • Experience in safety, security, robotics, or autonomous systems markets.
  • Experience implementing or managing financial systems (ERP, billing, equity).
  • Experience standing up SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance programs.
  • Prior CFO experience or a clear path to a CFO seat.

Volt AI provides AI-driven security solutions that integrate with existing camera setups. Its plug‑and‑play edge device installs in minutes and powers an AI monitoring system that analyzes feeds from all cameras to create a holistic view of the environment. A 3D mapping feature helps with incident management, enabling faster response across commercial facilities, industrial sites, and public spaces. Real-time notifications focus on actual events, aiming to eliminate false alarms and achieve high accuracy. Revenue comes from subscription services and one-time setup fees, creating a predictable, scalable income stream. Unlike others, Volt AI emphasizes quick installation, seamless integration with current infrastructure, and centralized, cross-camera monitoring to reduce costs while boosting security effectiveness. The goal is to provide reliable, efficient security monitoring that improves outcomes for clients by delivering actionable alerts and streamlined incident handling.

CENTEGIX and VOLT integrate AI video intelligence with panic button platform for real-time school threat response

CENTEGIX and VOLT have partnered to integrate AI-powered threat detection with emergency response systems ahead of the new school year. The partnership connects VOLT's video intelligence platform directly to CENTEGIX's Safety Platform, enabling schools to detect incidents in real-time rather than reviewing them afterward. VOLT's platform monitors existing camera feeds for weapons, fights, medical emergencies, unauthorised access and behavioural escalation. Each alert is human-verified before reaching security teams. When a threat is confirmed, visual context flows into the CENTEGIX platform, which can connect to emergency dispatch within seconds. The integration requires no new cameras or infrastructure replacement. VOLT does not use facial recognition technology, and districts control how footage is used and stored. The combined platform is now available for schools, higher education institutions, government facilities and commercial enterprises nationwide.

Report: Ai Will Take Up 10% Of Big Tech It Budgets

Artificial intelligence (AI) projects are set to comprise up to 10% of companies’ IT budgets. That’s according to a report Sunday (May 12) by Seeking Alpha, citing research by Wedbush. As the report notes, it’s a dramatic jump in AI spending, which last year accounted for under 1% of IT spending. “While the first wave of the AI Revolution is being led by the Godfather of AI Jensen and Nvidia along with Nadella/Redmond … now the 2nd/3rd/4th derivatives of this $1 trillion of spending over the next decade is hitting the shores of the tech sector,” a Wedbush note said
