Responsibilities
  • Sweep non-carpeted floor surfaces and move easily movable items to clean beneath them.
  • Damp mop and spray buff tile and resilient flooring areas.
  • Apply uniform, non-slip floor finish coating and display caution signs while floors are wet.
  • Strip and wax hard surface floors according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Vacuum carpet-type entrance mats and clean exterior entrance mats.
  • Empty, clean, line, and return wastebaskets, cigarette butt receptacles, and other trash containers, and dispose of collected waste in authorized dumpsters.
  • Dust furniture, equipment, ledges, window sills, handrails, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces up to seven feet above the floor.
  • Damp wipe mirrors and glass surfaces, including doors, display cases, partitions, bookcases, and adjacent trim.
  • Clean porcelain and stainless-steel surfaces and keep drinking fountains free of trash and encrustation.
  • Spot-clean washable walls, partitions, baseboards, doors, floors, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning compounds and germicidal detergent where required.
  • Sweep and damp mop restroom and related floor areas and disinfect restroom, locker-room, shower, dispenser, and holding-cell surfaces.
  • De-scale toilet bowls and urinals.
  • Re-supply restrooms, locker rooms, kitchen and break areas, and holding cells with toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.
  • Perform high dusting of surfaces at least seven feet above the floor, including blinds, ceiling fans, and air supply and return vents.
  • Clean interior and exterior window surfaces, including frames, casings, sills, and glass.
  • Clean interior and exterior government light fixtures.
  • Inspect lighting fixtures and replace burned-out bulbs within eight hours of occurrence using government-provided bulbs.
  • Clean air-conditioning vents and surrounding areas.
  • Clean grounds, landscape beds, driveways, parking areas, and sidewalks and hose down outdoor parking areas as needed.
  • Mow grass in landscaped and non-landscaped areas while maintaining the required height and appearance.
  • Trim grass along asphalt and concrete surfaces and around buildings, curbs, walkways, flagpoles, signs, parking lots, fences, trees, and shrubs.
  • Control and eliminate weeds in building grounds and landscaped areas; present required safety data sheets before applying approved chemicals.
  • Water shrubs, flowerbeds, hedges, trees, and lawn areas according to plant needs and weather conditions.
  • Keep fence areas, shrub beds, flowerbeds, turf areas, sidewalks, drains, and roadways free of leaves.
  • Clean asphalt, concrete, gravel parking lots, and driveways, eliminating weeds, mud, gravel, leaves, rocks, oil, stains, and other debris; mark work areas with traffic cones.
  • Use chemicals and sand to reduce ice and snow hazards when requested, including calcium chloride on concrete surfaces and sidewalks.
  • Remove excess sand and rock from sidewalks after the final snowfall requiring plowing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What is the Scope of the FBI Academy Contract? Chenega told ExecutiveBiz on Wednesday that the security services required under the contract include access control, visitor screening and visitor badge processing. The contract has a performance period of 5 years and is worth $6.4 million. Work begins May 2026. Commenting on the award, CNI President David Pine said, "The Chenega team is proud to have been awarded this contract once again and continue its partnership with the FBI's Training Division." "Supporting the FBI Academy is an important component of Chenega's law enforcement agency business line which includes projects with the United States Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center, DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the NASA Protective Services Training Academy," Pine added. What other security services contracts has CNI secured in 2026? The contract with the FBI Academy is CNI's latest security services award from U.S. government customers this year. In late March, the Chenega subsidiary announced having secured an $8.5 million contract to continue its role of supporting force protection operations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Humphreys Engineer Center in Alexandria, Virginia. CNI had delivered similar services since 2023, and with the contract, the company would continue providing support through September 2030. And in early March, CNI secured a five-year, $78.6 million task order from the Department of Homeland Security via its FPS Acquisition Division multiple award contract for protective security officer services. The award called for the provision of access control, patrol support and other armed security guard services at IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the IRS New Carrollton Center in Lanham, Maryland. Work on the contract is expected to start in June and run through May 2031.
