Requirements
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Social Science, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
  • Requires 5 years of experience involving the following:
  • 1. Business administration principles, data-driven research methods, and structured analytical frameworks for marketing and organizational data analysis
  • 2. Predictive modeling and causal inference techniques for media effectiveness, customer behavior analysis, and global performance measurement
  • 3. Python, R, and SQL for data product development, pipeline automation, dashboard creation, and scalable analytics tools
  • 4. Experimental design methods, including A/B testing, Conversion Lift, Brand Lift, and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) for first-party and third-party measurement solutions

Responsibilities
  • Business Report Automation and Data Product Development: Lead the automation of business reports and data product development for strategic stakeholders, enhancing the visibility of the measurement adoption and performance metrics.
  • This involves building and maintaining data pipelines, developing research, managing and influencing stakeholders.
  • Developing New Business Opportunities: Spearhead the global expansion of the Marketing Science team's scope by designing and implementing programs, training initiatives, and internal data tools, while fostering strategic influence with global leadership.
  • Consultation and Strategy Development: Partner with advertisers across diverse industries to understand their business challenges and translate these insights into tailored measurement solutions.
  • Driving a Culture of Experimentation and Performance Improvement: Lead the adoption of experimental design techniques and open-source tools to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver training sessions to enhance data literacy and understanding of experimentation and ads performance optimization best practices.
  • Product and Program Development: Contribute to Meta's product roadmap to enhance usability and ensure solutions are adaptable globally.
  • Drive Go-To-Market strategies for key programs and initiatives.
  • Analytical Expertise and Impact Assessment: Apply advanced analytical techniques to measure the impact of programs and initiatives, using insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Similar ousters occurred in Independence, Missouri, and rural North Carolina. The backlash crosses party lines, prompting state legislatures nationwide to consider bills ranging from eliminating tax incentives to construction moratoriums. Despite generating substantial tax revenue and construction jobs, communities increasingly resist these developments. Virginia, which has the most data centres, is considering eliminating sales tax exemptions worth $1.9 billion. President Trump has acknowledged affordability concerns whilst supporting development, though his proposals lack enforcement mechanisms.

Meta raises Quest VR headset prices by up to $100 as its own $115B AI spending drives component costs

Meta is raising prices for its Quest VR headsets by $50–$100 (12–20%) from 19 April, citing a global surge in memory chip prices affecting consumer electronics. However, Meta's own spending priorities have contributed to this component shortage. The company plans to spend $115–$135 billion on capital expenditures this year, up from $72 billion in 2025 and $28 billion in 2023, with most investment directed towards AI infrastructure. This includes $21 billion for data centre company CoreWeave and $10 billion for an El Paso data centre.
