- Demonstrated ability to design and implement AI-assisted engineering workflows using tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude, including prompt engineering, AI output validation, and responsible AI usage.
- Problem-solving, performance engineering, debugging, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to balance delivery speed and risk management.
- Lead end-to-end technical design and architecture for complex full-stack systems, collaborating with product, architecture, and cross-functional teams to define scalable and resilient solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers by setting development standards, reviewing critical code paths, and guiding implementation approaches aligned with architectural runway and organizational standards.
- Break down complex features into well-defined technical tasks, estimates, and sprint deliverables, supporting predictable execution and release planning.

Assurant reported second-quarter 2026 results that exceeded revenue expectations, with sales rising 9.5% year on year to $3.45 billion. The insurance services company's non-GAAP profit of $6.41 per share beat analysts' consensus estimates by 23.7%. Net premiums earned reached $2.77 billion, in line with analyst estimates of $2.76 billion, representing 6.9% year-on-year growth. Pre-tax profit stood at $376.9 million, equating to a 10.9% margin. Assurant's revenue has grown at a 6.6% compounded annual growth rate over the past five years. The company, which provides specialised insurance products protecting consumer purchases like mobile devices, vehicles, and homes, has a market capitalisation of $13.99 billion.
Assurant has partnered with Cogeco Communications to launch a digital-first mobile device solution for Canadian customers. The collaboration gives Cogeco mobile users access to network-compatible devices through Assurant's ecosystem, including new, refurbished, and certified Open Box models from Best Buy Canada. Customers can browse and purchase devices on BestBuy.ca with flexible financing options. Assurant handles device lifecycle management, enabling customers to buy, protect, and trade in devices, whilst Cogeco provides connectivity and customer experience. Owen, an insurtech specialising in embedded insurance, has partnered with Assurant to provide insurance capacity for Swan, Europe's leading embedded banking platform. The collaboration enables Swan to integrate travel insurance and fraud protection directly into its card products across France and Europe. Under the arrangement, Assurant serves as the risk carrier, Owen acts as broker and third-party administrator, and Allianz provides assistance services. The programme launched in April 2026 with Swan, which processes approximately €2 billion in monthly transactions across 30 European countries and serves over 150 companies including Pennylane, Indy and Agicap.
