Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, employment law, or a related field is required.
  • At least ten years of progressive experience, including significant experience leading complex team member relations functions and workplace investigations, is required.
  • Healthcare industry experience is required.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members is required.
  • Experience developing and implementing team member relations programs, operational frameworks, and workforce risk strategies is required.
  • Experience leading high-performing team member relations or human resources teams in a complex, multi-site organization is required.
  • Technical proficiency with personnel policies, especially the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and California employment and leave laws, is required.
  • Substantive knowledge of and resourcefulness in researching institutional policies, advanced knowledge of team member relations practices and programs, labor and employment law, and positive labor relations strategy are required.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, and executive leadership on high-risk team member relations matters is required.
  • Proof of vaccination or a vaccine declination form is required prior to employment, along with compliance with infection-control and personal protective equipment standards.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the enterprise team member relations function, including investigations, performance-management support, workplace-conflict resolution, corrective-action guidance, and workforce-risk mitigation.
  • Develop and execute team member relations strategies, programs, frameworks, and operating models that support organizational effectiveness and a positive team member experience.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for complex, sensitive, and high-risk team member relations matters, including allegations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace misconduct, policy violations, and other sensitive concerns.
  • Provide strategic oversight for team member relations programs, including supervisor-readiness initiatives, concierge support models, training programs, and leader capability development.
  • Partner with Learning, People Advisors, and operational leaders to strengthen effectiveness in performance management, communication, workplace conduct, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee team member relations intake, triage, escalation, case coordination, and operational processes to ensure timely and effective support across the organization.
  • Analyze team member relations trends, metrics, and organizational data to identify themes, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Own and shape the team member relations strategy across the organization while balancing team member experience, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and business needs.
  • Serve as a strategic, hands-on advisor to leaders and People partners on complex team member relations matters, investigations, leave and workers' compensation issues, accommodations, and employment policies, partnering with Legal, Compliance, human resources business partners, and operational leaders.
Desired Qualifications
  • An advanced degree or human resources certification, such as Senior Professional in Human Resources, Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional, or equivalent, is preferred.
