Obstetrics/Gynecology Locum Intern

Job Description

Responsibilities

• full scope of practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist providing care to the patients within the Western Zone
• participating in call and able to respond to urgent matters within 20 minutes of being called
• provide support to your own site but also to others in the Western Zone if required, which will include day-time coverage and occasional overnight/weekend coverage
• responsible to the Zone Department Head for Obstetrics & Gynecologist for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
• locum 0.8 FTE
• on-call participation

Expected Hours

• 0.8 FTE
• 1:5 call

Qualifications

• all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia(CPSNS) 
• all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada(RCPSC)
• membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association(CMPA)
