Requirements
  • A current New Mexico Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification or training is required, with ongoing maintenance of continuing education units.
  • The candidate must pass a criminal background check.
  • The candidate must maintain a current driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • The role requires bilingual English and Spanish language ability.
  • The role requires the ability to work in compliance with the New Mexico Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise assigned clinical staff and provide clinical support direction for patient care and treatment.
  • Perform nursing functions at the assigned clinic, including providing direct patient care and supporting providers according to established policies and nursing protocols.
  • Provide patient-centered care by identifying, respecting, and addressing patients' differences, values, preferences, and expressed needs; relieving pain and suffering; coordinating continuous care; informing, communicating with, and educating patients; sharing decision-making and management; and advocating disease prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyles, including a focus on population health.
  • Work in interdisciplinary teams by cooperating, collaborating, communicating, and integrating care to ensure continuous and reliable care.
  • Employ evidence-based practice by integrating research with clinical expertise and patient values and participating in learning and research activities when feasible.
  • Apply quality improvement by identifying errors and hazards, implementing basic safety design principles, measuring quality of care, and designing and testing interventions to improve care processes and systems.
  • Utilize informatics to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate errors, and support decision-making using information technology.
