Have car insurance.

Be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
Provide housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry assistance.
Prepare meals and cook for clients.
Shop for groceries with or on behalf of the client.
Provide transportation and run errands.
Assist with personal care and bathing.
Provide companionship.
Accompany clients to community places and support socialization.
Engage clients in activities such as games and memory books.
Coach, discuss, roleplay, and teach skills supporting social and behavioral functioning, coping, self-advocacy, confidence, relationship-building, and safe boundaries.
Record daily care notes.
Report significant changes in a client’s condition to the agency office.

This job requires caring for others who need help staying or gaining independence AT THEIR OWN HOME including the elderly or clients with intellectual or physical disabilities of all ages.
Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Job Functions (differ based on client needs):
Housekeeping/Cleaning & laundry
Meal preparation & cooking
Grocery shopping for or with the client
Transportation & errands
Personal cares and bathing
Companionship
Visit places in the community/socialize
Engage in activities (games, memory books)
Assist with goals such as, but not limited to social and behavior functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, safe boundaries, etc. by Coaching, discussing, roleplaying, teaching etc.
