Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in RF, microwave, and/or antenna engineering for satellite communications or similar applications.
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of phased array antennas, beamforming, and electronically steered antennas.
  • Familiarity with the full RF system, including digital, baseband, analog RF and microwave components such as amplifiers, mixers, filters, oscillators, and radiating elements.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience carrying RF hardware through its product life cycle, including requirements definition, design reviews, prototyping, testing, and production.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to access export-controlled information under United States law.
Responsibilities
  • Own the hardware implementation and successful spaceflight of RF payload phased array antenna systems.
  • Own space hardware from cradle to grave by performing trade studies, selecting and managing vendors, designing RF and antenna hardware, performing validation tests, and guiding the system through production readiness.
  • Drive development of system-level requirements for a complex phased array antenna system.
  • Manage the cost and schedule of RF hardware.
  • Perform trade studies and define RF system architecture.
  • Collaborate with, provide technical leadership to, and guide a multidisciplinary team including antenna, RF, mechanical, thermal, electrical, power, digital, modem, manufacturing, test, and supply chain engineers.
  • Establish and manage qualification and acceptance test campaigns for space environments, including vibration, thermal, thermal vacuum, and radiation testing, according to standards such as MIL-STD-461 and SMC-S-016.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience designing, calibrating, and conducting over-the-air measurements of multi-beam phased array antennas or active electronically steered arrays.
  • Experience with RF test and measurement tools such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and software defined radios.
  • Experience with the full space hardware product life cycle, including requirements definition, design reviews, prototyping, testing, and mass production.
  • Experience designing and testing hardware for space environments or similar environments according to standards such as SMC-S-016 or MIL-STD-461, including thermal management, vibration, radiation effects, and reliability considerations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing technical projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for space hardware.
  • Familiarity with Low Earth Orbit satellite communications systems and high-throughput payloads.
  • Familiarity with RF propagation, link budgets, and system-level RF architecture.
  • Familiarity with RF or millimeter-wave analog hardware development at Ku-band through V-band frequencies.

Logos Space provides satellite-based connectivity services designed for high performance and resilience, serving enterprise customers and government agencies. Its system delivers secure, multi-gigabit satellite links that remain reliable even under electronic warfare or jamming. Built-in resilience and security are core design features, giving it an edge in contested environments and for sensitive government use. The goal is to close the market gap for dependable, high-speed satellite connectivity for global enterprises and critical national security operations, including naval assets.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • February 2026 FCC approval unlocked a 3,960-satellite deployment path.
  • USIT's $50 million Series A funds design, hiring, and prototype work.
  • May 2026 studies with five bus providers show active procurement progress.

What critics are saying

  • No satellite launched yet; 2027 first launch still leaves a long execution gap.
  • Q and V-band terminals do not exist; custom hardware must be built.
  • Starlink and Amazon Leo can outspend Logos before its 2035 buildout.

What makes Logos Space unique

  • FCC-approved 3,960-satellite LEO network targets enterprise and government users, not consumers.
  • Q, V, Ka, and E bands enable narrow beams and harder jamming.
  • Private orbital fiber delivers symmetric, multi-gigabit MPLS transport with end-to-end encryption.

Logos raises $50M for satellite plans

Logos Space Services, founded by a former Google executive, raised $50 million in Series A funding from US Innovative Technologies to advance plans for over 4,000 broadband satellites. The funding will support engineering design, team expansion, and prototype development, aiming for the first satellite launch in late 2027. Logos plans to operate satellites at 870–925 km, using high frequencies to minimize disruption. The company aims to grow its team from 10 to 50 by year-end.
