Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication abilities and subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Willingness and ability to undergo background checks and drug testing as required.
  • Background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, and potentially credit and motor vehicle checks as applicable.
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain DOE security clearance (e.g., DOE Q) may be required.
  • No visa sponsorship (H-1B or TN) is available for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze workforce trends to identify gaps and opportunities in energy sector employment.
  • Align with Forecasting And Report Development Support Functional Area initiatives as a Workforce Analyst.
  • Analyze workforce education and training programs, including apprenticeships, and provide state-level recruitment and graduation forecasts.
  • Provide Public Comment Review, Data Analysis, Modeling, Evaluation, Mapping, Forecasting And Report Development, Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening, and Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Technical Consulting Services and support for the Department of Energy Office of Policy.
  • Develop methodologies, forecasts, and visual reports to support workforce and energy market trends analysis.
  • Contribute to documentation and dissemination of energy solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Department of Energy objectives.

  • Experience in energy policy and technical consulting.
  • Knowledge or experience with DOE Office of Policy initiatives.
