- Possess strong statistics and data analysis skills
- Have experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred), scripting languages (Python), and databases/data warehouses (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Amazon Redshift)
- Transform data and develop dashboards and data visualizations in Tableau to support the needs of a major sports organization
- Engage with multiple stakeholders to understand business and data requirements; design and iterate on visual concepts and prototypes for review and feedback
- Assist with database maintenance and data wrangling
- Collaborate effectively on team-based initiatives while independently managing individual project tasks
- Diversity Reporting: Support the USTA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team in developing analytical reports and dashboards to measure progress toward diversity goals
- Establish data delivery mechanisms, organize data in normalized structures, and build reports and dashboards used in business decision-making
- Sales & Marketing Reporting: Assist the US Open Marketing Team in migrating analytical products and reporting from one data warehouse environment to another
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of visualizations, data pipelines, validation processes, auditing procedures, and associated documentation
- USA Tennis Analytics: Support enhancements to reporting and analytics tools used across USA Tennis
- Participate in developing and refining visualizations, data pipelines, validation processes, and documentation
- Experience building data pipelines in a professional setting (e.g., internship) is a plus
- Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services tools such as S3 and AWS Lambda is encouraged
- A strong understanding of business operations is beneficial

Nominations invited for 2025 Brad Parks Award. Nominations are invited for the 2025 Brad Parks Award, one of the four ITF Awards presented annually to recognise individuals from the wheelchair tennis community. Nominations must be received by ITF by Friday, 27 March 2026. The Brad Parks Award represents the highest honour within the game of wheelchair tennis. Named after the founder of wheelchair tennis, it was first presented in 1993 and is awarded annually to an individual or organisation for outstanding contributions to the game. The winner of the Award will be decided by the ITF Board of Directors and nominations will be judged on the following criteria: - The individual/organisation has demonstrated the highest level of commitment to the sport of wheelchair tennis. - The individual/organisation has achieved outstanding results for the sport of wheelchair tennis. - The individual/organisation has demonstrated a significant contribution to the sport of wheelchair tennis in a number of areas or has made an outstanding contribution in one country/area of work over a number of years. - The individual/organisation is a respected ambassador for the sport of wheelchair tennis. - The individual/organisation has undertaken a range of activities for the benefit of the sport of wheelchair tennis. - The individual/organisation has made a significant contribution to international wheelchair tennis. Craig Tiley will become chief executive officer of the United States Tennis Association after 13 years leading Tennis Australia, the USTA announced on Tuesday. He will replace Lew Sherr, who left the USTA last year to join the New York Mets. Tiley, originally from South Africa, served as head coach of the University of Illinois men's tennis team from 1994 to 2005, winning an NCAA championship. He became tournament director of the Australian Open in 2006, overseeing its expansion to a 15-day event with record attendance and revenue. He was appointed Tennis Australia chief executive in 2013. The USTA said Tiley will begin his new role in the coming months. USTA board president Brian Vahaly praised Tiley's "uncommon combination of global credibility at the highest level of the sport" and grassroots development commitment.

Feb 24: The United States Tennis Association has named Tennis Australia head Craig Tiley as its next CEO, the national governing body that organises the U.S. Open said on Monday. Tiley will formally assume his responsibilities as USTA CEO in the coming months as he continues to work closely with the board of directors of Tennis Australia to ensure a smooth transition of leadership. The 64-year-old South African, who had a 13-year stint at the helm of Tennis Australia, replaces Lew Sherr, who stepped down from the position last year to join Major League Baseball's New York Mets as the team's president of business operations. "I've long admired the organisation's leadership in growing the game across the United States and the extraordinary success of the U.S. Open," Tiley, who began his tennis journey in the United States as a college coach, said in a USTA press release. "I'm excited to return to American tennis and to work alongside our leadership locally and nationally to continue building the sport's reach, impact, and future." During his time with Tennis Australia, tennis became the second most participated sport behind soccer in the country. He is now going to help the USTA achieve its goal of reaching 35 million players by 2035. As CEO of Tennis Australia since 2013 and Australian Open tournament director since 2006, Tiley has been a champion for innovation and player-first initiatives. Under his leadership, the Australian Open continually broke attendance and revenue records, becoming one of the world's most innovative and successful global sporting events. Prior to that he was head coach of the University of Illinois men's tennis team from 1994 to 2005 and guided the team to an NCAA Division I National Championship in 2003 with a perfect 32-0 record.
Brownwood ISD to receive $24,500 USTA grant. The United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced that it has awarded a $24,500 Tennis Venue Services grant to the Brownwood Independent School District. The grant will be used for the resurfacing of the four tennis courts at Brownwood Middle School. "Coach Shannon and I are excited that the USTA is partnering with Brownwood Middle School to help resurface the tennis courts," said Brownwood tennis coach Dalton Hutchins, who worked on securing the grant. "I appreciate Mitch Moore and Tammy Gray being readily available to help during the application process. The middle school tennis courts are used throughout the year just as much as the high school courts, so we are proud to help maintain another great district and community facility." The USTA's Tennis Venue Services grant program is designed to enhance existing tennis venues and construct new ones in order to provide increased playing opportunities in communities across the country. The significant funding was made possible by the expansion of the grant program in 2025 in order to meet the increasing demand for tennis courts as tennis participation continues to rise nationwide. Since 2005, the USTA's TVS grant program has awarded more than $34 million in TVS grants, including more than $16 million in 2025, which supported nearly 300 projects impacting more than 2,500 courts. "We are committed to supporting the enhancement and construction of tennis facilities in communities across the country," said Theodore Loehrke, Managing Director, Section Partnerships, USTA. "Investing in the development of tennis facilities nationwide helps support the USTA's mission of growing tennis to inspire healthier people and communities everywhere". In order to ensure communities have access to high-quality environments, grant recipients also receive start-to-finish project management assistance from the USTA's Tennis Venue Services team. This includes industry-leading experience in facility design, technical assistance, and construction document review to ensure the facilities can deliver tennis at a high level. The award for Brownwood ISD was granted based on a satisfactory technical review process and documentation approved by the USTA.
