  • Expertise in Design for Test tools and techniques, SCAN ATPG methodology, and Scan Chain Diagnosis.
  • Experience in fault isolation techniques including ATPG pattern generation, fault modeling for stuck-at, transition, path delay, and bridging faults, and Scan architecture (SSN).
  • Experience with Siemens Tessent, Synopsys TestMAX/TetraMAX, Verdi, DVE, simulation, and diagnosis tools.
  • Experience developing debug automation and analysis tools using Python, Perl, or TCL.
  • Six or more years of semiconductor industry experience in Product Engineering, Failure Analysis, Silicon Debug, DFT, Yield Engineering, or Post-Silicon Validation.
  • Deep expertise in DFT architectures, ATPG, scan diagnosis, and fault modeling.
  • Experience debugging complex silicon issues on leading-edge technology nodes.
  • Strong understanding of failure analysis workflows and physical debug techniques.
  • Demonstrated success driving cross-functional investigations from problem identification through corrective action.
  • Experience developing automation and debug methodologies that improve diagnosis accuracy and turnaround time.

Responsibilities

  • Use lab equipment, including FIB tools, probe tools, and automated systems, to isolate microscopic silicon circuit failures and identify root causes.
  • Partner with test and validation engineers, circuit designers, wafer fabrication process engineers, and high-volume manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues, develop temporary mitigations, and implement permanent remedies.

  • Evaluate and resolve component engineering and physical design issues, ensuring products incorporate design-for-debug features that enable deep silicon isolation capabilities.
  • Provide expert input on failure analysis investigation areas and design process improvements to ensure products perform to specification.
  • Drive root-cause analysis of silicon failures and collaborate across design, test, technology development, and manufacturing organizations to identify and resolve product and process issues.
  • Develop innovative methodologies, automation frameworks, and diagnostic capabilities to improve debug efficiency and accelerate root-cause identification.

Desired Qualifications

  • Six or more years of experience with JTAG and validation/debug research methodologies.
  • Experience developing innovative debug tools and methodologies in a research-driven environment.
  • Experience in foundry, fabless semiconductor, or high-volume manufacturing environments supporting customer product bring-up, yield ramp, or production qualification.

About the Company

Intel

Pioneers microprocessors, CPUs for PCs

Intel designs and manufactures semiconductor chips, with a focus on microprocessors for personal computers, servers, and other devices. Its core product is the CPU on a single silicon chip, which executes instructions, handles arithmetic and logic operations, and coordinates the work of other computer components. Intel originated in memory chips but shifted decisively to microprocessors in the 1980s, becoming a central supplier for the PC era after the IBM partnership and its famous x86 processor line. This shift, large-scale manufacturing, and close ties with computer makers set Intel apart from competitors who remained focused on memory or other components. The company aims to power computing by delivering high-performance, energy-efficient silicon solutions that drive a wide range of computing devices and applications.
