- At least 7 years of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology experience is required.
- At least 5 years of successful rare disease sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is required.
- Neurology experience spanning pediatric and adult populations is required.
- Oncology experience is required.
- Experience selling in a competitive market is required.
- Experience with virtual selling and a track record of embracing technology are required.
- A valid and active driver's license is required.
- The candidate must live within the identified territory.
- Strong expertise in reimbursement and managed care knowledge is required.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

- Maintain expert working knowledge of company policies and guidelines, including those addressing interactions with healthcare professionals, compliance, and business conduct.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, and government laws, regulations, and ethical business practice guidelines.
- Be accountable for territory revenue and customer support.
- Achieve short- and long-term sales objectives by identifying customer needs and providing solutions, building professional relationships with customers in live and virtual settings and within community and academic settings.
- Build relationships with key healthcare professionals, physician practices, hospitals and clinics, practice managers, and major cancer centers across treatment and academic settings.
- Develop deep market, customer, product, and competitive insights; understand changes in the healthcare landscape and adapt strategically.
- Complete ongoing training and development in product knowledge, selling skills, goal setting, planning and analysis, marketing tools, clinical information, and sales competencies.
- Identify and implement appropriate ways to put patients and customers first, prioritizing tasks that support timely delivery of medicines and patient outcomes.
- Review data, understand trends, prepare and communicate applicable plans, and use digital platforms and omnichannel strategies.
- Participate fully in field coaching sessions, receive guidance and corrective action as needed, and focus on account-plan execution and competency development to meet revenue targets.
- Collaborate and maintain ongoing communication and tactical coordination with field and headquarters colleagues.
- Support local and area key opinion leaders.
- Travel domestically as required, potentially up to 50% of the time.
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- An in-depth understanding of the neurology and oncology landscape and market dynamics is highly desirable.
