About the job
- An MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a psychiatry residency.
- Completion of fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry, preferred or required depending on the role.
- Board eligibility or board certification in Psychiatry.
- Eligibility for or ability to obtain state medical licensure.
- Ability to provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for geriatric patients.
- Ability to manage care across inpatient, outpatient, and consultative settings.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Ability to adhere to regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment.
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for geriatric patients.
- Manage care across inpatient, outpatient, and consultative settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Teach medical students, residents, and/or fellows.
- Participate in program development, quality improvement, and/or research activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Participate in or lead development of a geriatric psychiatry fellowship program.
- Develop and expand consultation services for nursing facilities.
- Share call responsibilities during the Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
- Interest in academic medicine, teaching, or program development.
- Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry, where listed as preferred.
