Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator certification.

Responsibilities

Prepare and lead effective group fitness classes based on the class description.
Create a welcoming environment for participants of every fitness level.
Monitor and connect with participants during class by leading them in form, technique, modifications, breathing cues, and body awareness.
Correct participants' form, provide alternative movements when needed, and help participants remain motivated toward their personal goals.
Clean and organize the group fitness space before and after each class.
Maintain records of classes taught or covered as a substitute, including attendance numbers.
Secure substitute instructors as needed for regularly scheduled or agreed-upon classes.
Represent the Fitness Center professionally by greeting residents and encouraging new residents to join classes.
Maintain current and correct certifications.
We are seeking an energetic and professional individual with experience in group fitness instruction who is also a reliable team player who will motivate and educate residents while promoting a healthy lifestyle and well-being. This position will begin as a substitute for the Summer class schedule as class coverage needs arrive for the facility, with a transition to a regular weekly schedule in the Fall with a change to the ongoing class schedule. Must have availability for Saturday mornings and Weekday Evenings.
