The Director of Marketing, SLED/Federal will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of HUMAN Security’s public sector vertical, encompassing Federal (FED) and State, Local, and Education (SLED) markets. Reporting into the VP of Corporate Marketing, this is a unique opportunity to build and shape a first-of-its-kind program within the company. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that support demand generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth within the public sector. As a foundational role, we’re seeking a seasoned public sector marketer who can create, expand, and elevate this program as it scales. This leader will collaborate closely with the Public Sector Sales Team to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to the unique needs of the public sector, with a focus on FED/SLED markets. Align marketing initiatives with sales goals to drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth.
- Demand Generation: Lead the planning and execution of demand generation campaigns that support the public sector sales team. Utilize a mix of channels, including digital marketing, events, content marketing, and ABM (Account-Based Marketing) to generate qualified leads and accelerate sales cycles.
- Content Development: Create and oversee the production of high-impact content tailored for the public sector audience, including white papers, case studies, webinars, blogs, and thought leadership pieces. Ensure all content is aligned with the HUMAN brand and resonates with government buyers.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with the public sector sales team to understand their priorities, challenges, and opportunities. Partner with product marketing, corporate communications, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and go-to-market strategies.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on public sector market trends, government regulations, and competitive landscape. Provide insights to inform marketing strategies and positioning.
- Event Marketing: Plan and execute public sector-focused events, including industry conferences, webinars, and workshops. Drive event strategy, execution, and post-event follow-up to maximize lead generation and brand visibility.
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish KPIs and regularly report on the performance of public sector marketing initiatives. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of marketing experience, with a strong focus on B2B marketing within the public sector, specifically FED/SLED markets.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue growth.
- Experience with content marketing, digital marketing, ABM, and event marketing.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, regulations, and buying cycles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on metrics, analysis, and continuous optimization.
The base pay range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 which can include additional on-target bonus and/or incentives. The base pay offered may vary depending on location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
