Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care as directed by the registered nurse.
Assist the registered nurse in completing therapeutic treatments and communicate the patient's response to treatment.
Monitor for significant findings regarding patient safety, personal needs, and changes in the patient's condition.
Promote and maintain patient comfort and keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
Identify patient and family education needs and report them to the registered nurse.
Transport patients to and from the Emergency Department using a wheelchair or stretcher.
Place stable patients requiring telemetry monitoring on remote telemetry during transport.
Assist with stocking the unit, maintaining equipment, and ordering supplies.
Clean and prepare rooms after a patient has been dispositioned and remove used supplies.
Participate in Emergency Preparedness requirements and responses, and maintain HazMat competency.
Answer phone calls promptly, courteously, and efficiently in accordance with policy.

Description
The Emergency Department Technician under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse carries out all assignments in the provision of patient care, as delegated by the registered nurse. All duties are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures.
This opportunity is for Part time, 7pm-7amvariable days of the week and weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

4. Promotes and maintains an atmosphere for patient comfort. Keeps patient’s room clean and orderly.

6. Transports patients to and from the Emergency Department utilizing wheelchair or stretcher.
7. Stable patients requiring telemetry monitoring will be placed on remote telemetry for transport.
