Spectral Labs is building foundation models for engineering physical systems. We're looking for an AI engineer to build the systems that put those models to work: agents that read, edit, and generate CAD, the tool interfaces that connect LLMs to our geometry models, and the task-level evals that decide what's ready to ship. You bring 3–5 years building software with LLMs or other ML models, hands-on experience with agents and multi-step LLM systems, and strong Python. Experience scripting CAD tools through their APIs is a big plus. We're excited about people who can make an impact, whatever their background.
This is a fully in-person role at our office in SF. You must be currently based in the US to be eligible, and we are not able to sponsor visas for this role. Compensation and equity total $250–350k annually. Benefits include health insurance (with a 100%-premium option), dental, a 401(k) match, and company-expensed meals and commuting.
