The Alice L Walton School of Medicine has won a 2026 Metal Architecture Design Award MG McGrath Inc. is honored to announce that the Alice L Walton School of Medicine is the Single Skin Wall Panels (smooth) category winner of the 2026 Metal Architecture Design Awards. A design that shines in every sense of the word, this facility features a unique array of bronze- and brass-colored metal cladding. This prestigious recognition highlights MG McGrath's dedication to pushing boundaries and elevating design with metal. These awards honor projects with exemplary overall appearance, significant use of metal, and visionary designs. All projects completed between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026, were eligible for consideration. Paykel to lead Whole Health Education efforts at AWSOM. The Alice L. Walton School of Medicine has hired Dr. Jacquelyn M. Paykel as assistant dean of Whole Health Education. In her new role, Paykel will help guide the school's approach to Whole Health education, a key component of the institution's medical training model. Paykel brings extensive experience in women's health, integrative medicine and Whole Health care. Most recently, she served as founder and CEO of S.H.E. Medical, LLC, where she led consulting and coaching initiatives focused on Whole Health practices. Prior to launching her own company, Paykel served as Women's Health Medical Director and physician in gynecology and integrative medicine at the Tomah VA Medical Center in Wisconsin. She also held several leadership positions at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and Clinics in Tampa, Florida, including Chief Well-being Officer, Chief of Whole Health Service and Director of the National THRIVE Program. While serving in those leadership roles, Paykel continued her clinical practice and also worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine from 2018 to 2023. Her career has also included academic and clinical positions at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Prevea Health, Riverside Medical Group and ProHealth Care. Paykel's medical career began in the U.S. Navy, where she served as a Lieutenant Commander, Staff Physician and Medical Student Clerkship Director in Portsmouth, Virginia. She earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before receiving her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She later completed an MBA through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School. Her postgraduate training includes an internship in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, and a fellowship through the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Paykel is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in integrative medicine by the American Board of Integrative Medicine. Her appointment adds another experienced healthcare leader to the growing faculty and administration of the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine as the institution continues developing its Whole Health-focused approach to medical education in Northwest Arkansas.

Dayana Muir has joined the floral design team at Tipton & Hurst as an event designer, the company has announced. Muir brings nearly a decade of experience in floral design, client consultations, large-scale installations and event execution. Based at Tipton & Hurst's Rogers location, she will support wedding, corporate and special event clients in Northwest and Central Arkansas. Before joining Tipton & Hurst, Muir served as a lead designer for weddings and events, with responsibilities spanning floral planning, sourcing, installations and day-of execution. Her background also includes retail floristry and custom gifting. Sach Oliver, CEO of of Oliver Law Firm in Rogers, has been named to The Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only organization limited to the top 100 plaintiff trial lawyers in the United States. Founded in 1972, "the organization selects only attorneys of exceptional qualifications - those who have secured multiple seven- and eight-figure verdicts, earned the respect of judges and peers alike and demonstrated a commitment to the highest standards of trial advocacy," according to a news release. Oliver is the only currently active Arkansas lawyer to achieve membership in The Inner Circle of Advocates. He previously served as president of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association from 2022-2023. He will be formally presented with this distinct honor during a special ceremony in London. Logan welcomes dean of College of Chiropractic. Logan University (Chesterfield, MO) welcomes Angela Pierce, DC, PhD, DipACLM as dean of the College of Chiropractic. Dr. Pierce is a chiropractic physician, neuroscientist and nationally recognized leader in whole health medical education. She brings nearly two decades of experience spanning academic leadership, curriculum innovation, translational research, and whole-person health integration. "I am deeply honored to join Logan University at such an exciting time in chiropractic education," Dr. Pierce said. "Logan's rich chiropractic tradition and student-centered environment are legacies I have long admired, and I am excited to join a place where meaningful work and purpose are infused in the culture. As the founder and CEO of Whole Health Together, LLC, Dr. Pierce advances evidence-based lifestyle medicine, behavior change, and well-being strategies for individuals and organizations. Her work blends rigorous scientific training with a deep commitment to human well-being, drawing on her background as a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a certified health and wellness coach through Duke Health & Integrative Medicine. Before joining Logan University, Dr. Pierce served as assistant dean of whole health integration and founding faculty at the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, where she led the development of a four-year whole health and self-care curriculum, created institutional definitions and frameworks for whole health, and designed novel courses integrating medicine, art, and well-being. She previously spent six years at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she held multiple administrative roles - including director of preclinical assessment and phase II director - and taught extensively across the medical curriculum. Dr. Pierce earned her PhD in Neurosciences from the University of Kansas Medical Center, where her research focused on early life stress, chronic pelvic pain, and neuroimmune mechanisms. Her work has been published in PAIN, Frontiers in Physiology, Neurourology and Urodynamics, The Journal of Pain, and other peer-reviewed journals. She has delivered more than 40 invited talks and keynote addresses on topics ranging from stress neurobiology to art in medical education, whole health and curriculum design. Additionally, Dr. Pierce has guided dozens of medical, graduate, and undergraduate trainees and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Madison & Lila Self Fellowship, the Mamie E. Johnston Creative Art in Teaching Award, and several research presentation distinctions. She has also completed advanced leadership training through the Duke Leadership Program in Whole Health & Well-Being, the Harvard Macy Institute, and the Society for Neuroscience Early Career Policy Fellowship.
