Maintenance Mechanic
About the job
- Experience working on industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to weld with wire and stick.
- Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Perform welding and cutting on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Follow safe work practices, including lockout/tagout, confined-space entry, ladder and climbing safety, and hot-work permits.
- Repair pipefitting and plumbing systems.
- Assist electricians with mounting and unmounting motors and gear drives.
- Repair, rebuild, and replace pumps.
- Perform general cleaning within the production plant and maintenance areas.
- Lift, move, and rig heavy or awkward equipment and work in tight spaces.
- Repair, maintain, and assist in operating wastewater systems, air-pollution systems, and blending or grain silos.
- Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner.
- Follow department and company procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
