Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • At least 5 years of IT infrastructure experience, including at least 2 years managing ServiceNow in a self-hosted or on-premises architecture, is required.
  • An active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/CI poly is required.
  • The candidate must successfully pass background and drug screening.
  • Advanced proficiency in system administration, scripting, and server virtualization in an AWS cloud environment is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MariaDB/MySQL database administration, including high availability and replication configurations, is required.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS certificate management, hardware load balancing, and advanced firewall rules is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and effectively within a team setting.
  • The candidate must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
  • The candidate must communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications are required.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and provision ServiceNow application servers and database servers within an on-premises or secure air-gapped environment.
  • Install, configure, and provision ServiceNow MID Servers within an on-premises or secure air-gapped environment.
  • Manage and maintain the operating systems hosting the ServiceNow application stack.
  • Administer relational databases, including clustering, replication, backups, performance tuning, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Plan and execute ServiceNow family version upgrades, patching, and hotfixes directly on self-hosted servers while ensuring zero data loss and minimal downtime.
  • Configure load balancers such as F5 and HAProxy, reverse proxies, and firewalls, and ensure compliance with security frameworks such as STIGs, RMF, and PKI/CAC integrations.
  • Monitor node and database performance, troubleshoot latency bottlenecks, and scale server resources including CPU, RAM, and storage to meet mission demands.
  • Assist designated system owners with maintaining operating status and documentation.
  • Coordinate with the team working on artificial intelligence initiatives to support predictive operations, automated incident and case response, and intelligent service management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT modernization initiatives within federal or defense environments is preferred.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification meeting DoD 8570 compliance is preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification or Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery and MID Server configuration within restricted networks is preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise IT environments is preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience is strongly desired.

What is the Scope of the FBI Academy Contract? Chenega told ExecutiveBiz on Wednesday that the security services required under the contract include access control, visitor screening and visitor badge processing. The contract has a performance period of 5 years and is worth $6.4 million. Work begins May 2026. Commenting on the award, CNI President David Pine said, "The Chenega team is proud to have been awarded this contract once again and continue its partnership with the FBI's Training Division." "Supporting the FBI Academy is an important component of Chenega's law enforcement agency business line which includes projects with the United States Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center, DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the NASA Protective Services Training Academy," Pine added. What other security services contracts has CNI secured in 2026? The contract with the FBI Academy is CNI's latest security services award from U.S. government customers this year. In late March, the Chenega subsidiary announced having secured an $8.5 million contract to continue its role of supporting force protection operations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Humphreys Engineer Center in Alexandria, Virginia. CNI had delivered similar services since 2023, and with the contract, the company would continue providing support through September 2030. And in early March, CNI secured a five-year, $78.6 million task order from the Department of Homeland Security via its FPS Acquisition Division multiple award contract for protective security officer services. The award called for the provision of access control, patrol support and other armed security guard services at IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the IRS New Carrollton Center in Lanham, Maryland. Work on the contract is expected to start in June and run through May 2031.
