Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in law enforcement, private security, or a related field; alternatively, 4 years of military police experience or retired military status.
  • A high school degree or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to manage high-stress and high-risk situations effectively.
  • A valid driver's license or successful completion of the Club's internal motor vehicle training program is required.
  • Red Cross certification in basic First Aid/Emergency Response or the ability to become First Responder certified is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of first aid, fire protection, traffic control, and emergency and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain required training, licenses, and certifications in first aid, emergency and safety procedures, and fire control.
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions under pressure and demonstrate judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply practical security and safety measures within the Club culture.
  • Technical proficiency in operating and troubleshooting security operations technologies.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, patrol large outdoor areas on foot, climb stairs, navigate inclines and declines, repeatedly enter and exit vehicles or golf carts, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to respond quickly and physically intervene in emergencies, run or jog to emergency locations, assist with evacuations, and perform CPR and other first-responder duties.
Responsibilities
  • Patrol Club facilities and monitor entrances to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees, and Club assets.
  • Enforce security procedures and recommend additional controls or procedural changes to Security Management.
  • Monitor entrances and the perimeter for access control, including logging visitors on and off the premises.
  • Conduct systematic patrols of parking areas, the Club perimeter, and cabin areas.
  • Perform first aid, fire protection, traffic control, and emergency and safety procedures.
  • Assist Club management in preparing reports related to accidents, thefts, and other incidents.
  • Conduct confidential or special investigations at the request of Security Management.
  • Coordinate the removal of unauthorized vehicles and report them to Club management.
  • Assist with investigations of alleged crimes, policy violations, and security breaches, and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by exchanging reports and information.
  • Handle Club telephone responsibilities after hours and seasonally.
  • Assist with weather monitoring and implementation of weather alerts.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management that are integral to the job.

IBM and the Masters Tournament have announced new AI-powered digital features for the 90th Masters Tournament, running 9-12 April at Augusta National Golf Club. The enhancements mark the latest development in a 30-year collaboration between the two organisations. Masters Vault Search, powered by IBM's Granite small language models and watsonx Orchestrate, enables fans to explore over 50 years of final round broadcasts through conversational prompts. The system uses optical character recognition, speech-to-text transcription and scene detection to locate specific moments within full-length replays. The enhanced Hole Insights feature now provides real-time, shot-by-shot analysis during the Tournament, calculating historical scoring probabilities based on exact ball position and contextual performance data. The feature was developed with input from legendary caddie Jim 'Bones' Mackay.
