About the job
- Hold current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where teaching is performed.
- Meet one of the board of vocational nursing experience alternatives: three years of bedside experience with RN/BSN, or six years of bedside experience with LVN/Associate's Degree.
- Improve instructional quality by reviewing and using varied teaching methodologies and techniques.
- Demonstrate or acquire skills in using online activities to enhance course content during interactive teaching and learning.
- Assist in reviewing and revising the syllabus for assigned courses and instructional guidelines.
- Submit required program reports and forms to the program director on time.
- Stay current with new technologies and safety regulations.
- Maintain student attendance, grade, and skills check-off records, and assist with program data collection by established deadlines.
- Assist in updating and maintaining student files related to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements.
- Teach courses at varied times and locations according to program needs.
- Teach lecture content and clinical rotations, which may occur during days, evenings, weekdays, or weekends.
- Participate in professional development, maintain continuing education hours for license renewal, and stay current with college updates.
- Participate in assigned committees when available, prioritizing teaching responsibilities.
- Current immunizations.
- Basic Life Support certification or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
