Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of experience with data collection, research, and analysis, including consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past two years.
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate via email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and related tools and technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to produce thorough, accurate, and appropriately documented work products that comply with established criteria.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties competently and professionally while meeting milestones and delivery schedules.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to propose possible resolutions to complex technical, managerial, or operational problems.
  • Leadership, management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proactivity, attention to detail, ability to work within deadlines, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support and help execute the company’s effort in supporting the Department of Labor’s Youth Apprenticeship programs.
  • Perform program and project management tasks, including participating in kickoff meetings and training and providing written reports.
  • Promote youth apprenticeship programs and their content through multifaceted campaigns.
  • Determine effective methods for recruiting students from local high schools and colleges.
  • Design approaches to connect learning communities.
  • Conduct outreach to local businesses and educational institutions.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to educational institutions and employers to facilitate and accelerate youth apprenticeship programs.
  • Research data collected from apprenticeship programs and participating youths to develop and expand youth apprenticeship programs.
  • Evaluate case studies for each school system and employer involved in the project.
  • Evaluate what worked and what did not work in developing apprenticeship programs in new industries.
  • Provide recommendations for growing and expanding the project based on research findings.
  • Conduct research on youth apprenticeship opportunities based on labor market trends.
  • Research effective methods for outreach and expansion of apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Provide research, data, and findings to other team members when necessary.
  • Formulate, implement, and manage assigned projects.
  • Provide project quality control and interface with the client on project-specific issues.
  • Ensure projects are completed within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in project administration and management procedures.
  • Experience using database applications and presentation software.
  • A master’s degree.
