Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED and the ability to read, write, and comprehend English for operational, process, safety, and quality instructions.
  • More than five years of experience in a related position and environment, with knowledge of water and wastewater treatment methods, techniques, and practices.
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
  • Proficiency in the care and use of site-specific required personal protective equipment, including respirators, gas detectors, and confined-space equipment.
  • The ability to operate all facility machines and equipment while meeting or exceeding processing and quality targets under general supervision.
  • The ability to efficiently operate facility equipment, including pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed and odor-control equipment, disinfection equipment, sludge-processing filters, belt presses, measuring and control devices, testing equipment, and material-handling equipment.
  • The ability to diagnose process problems regardless of complexity, troubleshoot equipment, and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations.
  • A working ability to use computer programs for process control.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and readily assume additional or new responsibilities.
  • The ability to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call duty if required by the site.
  • A minimum Florida Class B Water Operator license and Florida Class B Wastewater Operator license, as required by regulatory agencies at the site.
  • A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • The ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, enter confined spaces, use ladders or stairs, and lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, or 60 pounds occasionally as required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the assigned team in operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment, processing, disposal, and testing equipment to meet permit and operational requirements.
  • Serve as the Primary Operator with responsibility for state reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Review daily team requirements with the supervisor or in the supervisor’s absence, oversee work assignments, ensure schedules are met, and recommend schedule changes to optimize production or reduce costs.
  • Ensure labor reporting is accurate and balances with the labor tracking system, and provide feedback to the supervisor regarding labor, material, and equipment demands.
  • Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines and related equipment used to decontaminate wastewater through settling, aeration, and sludge digestion.
  • Monitor control panels, flow meters, gauges, flow ratios, pressures, and related controls, and adjust valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate flow.
  • Monitor and record operating conditions, observations, and data in the area shift log.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot operational issues, implement corrective solutions, and diagnose equipment malfunctions and process variances.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including lubrication and minor adjustments, to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Prepare work orders manually or through a Computerized Maintenance Management System and prepare work-related reports, procurement requisitions, charts, graphs, and data submissions.
  • Perform chemical, physical, and biological field tests to pace chemical dosages for process and odor-control units or alter unit processes.
  • Sample wastewater, sludge, and gases according to schedule.
  • Prepare chemical solutions and service automatic samplers.
  • Monitor process chemical supplies and recommend reorders.
  • Perform laboratory tests applicable to permit testing and prepare related reports according to procedure.
  • Calibrate portable meters, including dissolved oxygen, pH, hydrogen sulfide, percent oxygen, and lower explosive limit meters.
  • Perform manual labor, including filling and emptying machine bins and cleaning equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Operate vehicles for plant operational purposes.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and dispose of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
  • Assign, monitor, and review the accuracy of work without authority for personnel actions.
  • Model and enforce compliance with work practices, policies, and procedures, and support facility safety goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct or assist with safety training and maintain safety awareness through communication and environmental stewardship.
  • Follow operational, process-control, safety, and emergency-response procedures and adhere to specifications and production schedules.
  • Recommend or adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment to meet special needs and suggest process improvements.
  • Communicate with plant operators, other personnel, less experienced maintenance personnel, and equipment suppliers to understand issues and obtain operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Train, coach, orient, or assist with training new or less experienced operators.
  • Assist in other areas of the plant as needed.
  • Spend all working time in an operations environment and perform duties safely around fumes, toxic and caustic chemicals, heavy machinery, high pressure, extreme temperatures, slippery surfaces, water hazards, and electrical equipment.

Veolia raises $1.3B in oversubscribed senior bond offering with $3.8B orders

Veolia has completed a €1.15 billion senior bond offering across two tranches. The issuance comprises €650 million with a four-year maturity at a 3.678% coupon and €500 million with an eight-year maturity at a 4.088% coupon. Veolia posts 10.4% net income growth in H1 2026, raises full-year guidance to 8%

Veolia Environnement reported revenue of €22.93 billion for the first half of 2026, up 1.5% at constant scope and foreign exchange, excluding energy prices. The company's EBITDA reached €3.55 billion, rising 5% with margins improving by 70 basis points to 16%. Current net income grew 10.4% at constant scope and forex, whilst net free cash flow improved by €164 million compared to the same period in 2025. Veolia launches $452M non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due 2032

Veolia Environnement has launched a €400 million offering of non-dilutive cash-settled convertible bonds due January 2032. The bonds will be offered exclusively to qualified institutional investors through an accelerated bookbuilding process. The synthetic convertible bonds offer exposure to Veolia's share performance but will be cash-settled only, without issuing new shares. The bonds will bear an annual interest rate between 0.50% and 0.75%, with a conversion premium of 20% over a reference share price. Concurrently, Veolia will purchase cash-settled call options to hedge its exposure. The company intends to use proceeds for general corporate purposes, including purchasing the options. Veolia raises $791M through convertible bond offering to refinance 2021 debt

Enviri spins off New Enviri as standalone public company with $1.2B revenue after Clean Earth sale
